Hotel Santa Gilla

The hotel is beautiful but not very central located. If you need to go downtown there’s one bus coming once in a hour which made it a struggle to get around. The receptionist Antionella is absolutely a gem.

Breakfast could have been better. Don’t rent your car through the partnership the hotel has with the couple who have a car rental. The couple tried to scam me for 300 euros which they added on their copy of the contract after I had signed it.

Hotel nice and quiet. Pool side also good.

The buffet price is to high to the number of dishes displayed.

The staff was awsome and they upgraded our booking to a better one, so we hade an awsome view.

Shared bathrooms

Amazing hotel. Everywhere amazing views the rooms was really big and the great part was the first view to the flamingos. Awesome buffet breakfast

Relatively large room with comfy beds and small private garden with direct access to the pool. Lots of storage, the most I ever found in a hotel, especially in the bathroom. Good breakfast buffet. Staff polite and friendly. The pool is large and the hotel grounds well maintained.Location: relatively far from Cagliari and next to a beach that is not so nice compared to others, because it's close to an industrial area. The parking inside the hotel gates is kind of small, but there's plenty of parking outside. The restaurant is right in the entrance hall and it can get noisy and smelly when there are busloads of clients.Unfortunately there are very few restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Not the usual amenities available in a 4 stars, although I got the kettle I asked for. The aperitif at the bar was a disappointment since I couldn’t get a small bottle of tonic for my gin+tonic, maybe they just pour the tonic in the glass. Also, we asked for something to eat with the drinks - like crisps - and got only peanuts to which I’m allergic.Most of the restaurants suggested in their welcome kit are permanently closed.They charge 2€ for the pool towels, after the first set for free. I stayed in many hotels with pool and I was never charged. Finally, there was only a buffet menu available for dinner, with mostly food I don’t like for and the price of 35€ without drinks is eccessive when you cannot choose what to eat and are not served at the table.

The location of the hotel is outside town surrounded by nature and lots of flamingos.Rooms are very clean and with exceptional views. We ate at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. All the staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. They made you feel you were home. Very relaxed and family atmosphere . Many thanks for everything ?

Loved the pool and garden. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Liked out of town location surrounded by wetlands and flamingoes.

The food was disappointing/underwhelming. It's not difficult to put a fresh continental breakfast buffet together, but this was poor. Stale croissants, tinned fruit, apples and bananas the only fresh fruit and very unappealing.

I liked a lot the pool, big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very varied and available till late in the morning.

There was some trouble with the mosquitos, they treated it with some chemicals not so nice smelling.

Very big well furnished room, clean and great cleaning service, nice swimming pool and garden, very kind staff, good location from where you can organize trips to the Southern coast beaches, Cagliari, Pula etc. with a rented car

Breakfast could be more attractive

The room was quite big and it is very well furnished; you have a big wardrobe with practical drawers, a big "office table" including many drawers, two armchairs and especially in the bathroom, there is a lot of storage for all your stuff, that's brilliant!!The bed was enormous and had a very comfortable matress and there was a spacious furnished balcony.Breakfast buffet is very complete and was really tasty!We had a little issue with the fridge, but the staff was very friendly and reactive and the problem was solved in a few minutes, really caring!!??Having stayed only one night, we unfortunately didn't have time to check out the pool, but the outside area looked really great, including sunbeds and little "salon" corners to chill and have cocktails f.i. ?There is a small carpark inside the hotel's area and a very big one just outside, that seems as secure as the first one, great!All in all perfect!! :)

The only little negative point was a quite small shower and the water pressure was a little low, but it didn't spoil our stay!

Staff were very friendly and organised, the food was excellent and the hotel was very clean.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and larger than many hotel’s standard rooms. Pool was big enough for everyone.

Hotel is in quiet location, close to beach, which is not as beautiful as, for example, aroung Chia.Very nice garden and swimming pool.

It is visible that hotel is not new and some parts of equipments are ready to be exchanged.

The e green garden and the pool / the jacuzzibreakfast is average (it could have been worse).

1. The hotel is situated close to an industrial zone.2. It is rather far from the beach where you have to pass a heavily traficated street.3. In July there are infested by mosquitos, at the point that is impossible to stay outside4. There is no barkeep whatsoever5. The pool paint is flacking and found some in hair and on the skin when showering. When informed, the staff said they are working on it. Almost impossible to believe this, as all the paint on all of the surface is damaged. A sign at the pool with - do not swim with the head under water would have been better.

The outside area around the pool is lovely. Staff are helpful and polite.

Given that this is a four star hotel, I feel that the inside needs some investment

Calm, Clean, comfortable bed, fantastic pool view, friendly staff, pleasant hotel environments, good breakfast . There is a shopping mall and pizzeria nearby to buy foods , fruits, sun cream,… Pool water was so clean and checked by life guards regularly ( it was a little cold and good to be warmer).Good Gym facilities.

There was no kettle,tea or coffee in the room initially, but after I requested, they sent a tray with tea and coffee, sufficient for our two-night stay.No bathtub ? in our superior room.Dinner open buffet 35€ , expensive .If you have no car , it is a little complicated for you to reach there: there is a bus number 130 from bus station in Cagliari which the last one is departing at 9pm . Otherwise you have to pay 60€ or more for a taxi to reach there. Receptionist told me that there is a station near the shopping centre called commercial centre 1, but when we took the bus 130, it doesn’t stop there and took us farther then we had to walk 10 to 15 minutes back to the hotel. Kindly notice that we had not any suitcases, traveled with 2 bag packs. If you have a big luggage, have to carry it for a long distance to reach to the hotel location . For return to Cagliari it was a misguided too. There is a station near the shopping centre but receptionist sent us to the same far station. After that we got the bus we saw it was stopped one street back of Main Street near the beach in front of the shopping centre which we could take the bus from there. But we walked a lot to reach to that farther station .( It sounds receptionists have a wrong information about the route of this bus and guided us opposite)There is a beach called Capoterra nearby but it was not clean with blue water like images. Could not swim in the sea at all.
