    Pros +

    • I loved the reception area; it felt warm and inviting and was filled with light. I loved that my room was spacious and traditional; tatami matted and I slept comfortably on a futon. And I thought the staff professional and so kind. An added plus, was the onsen and the yukata provided for guests.
    • Overall it was great value. Staffs are friendly, breakfast was good too. And the room was big enough with a beautiful view from the window.
    • our 1st time to Kurobe, Mai san & her team tried to help us to get the tickets to Alpine but is fully booked. The hotel surprised me by helping my husband to prepare a birthday cake & upgraded our room. The rooms are clean & Japanese Breakfast I like it very nice.

    Cons -

    • Only that the rug by the windows seemed spotted. Also, the room was initially very warm and felt like a sauna until I turned the heat down.
    • Not for this property, but this town has limited restaurant choices and no convenient stores. It’s better you bring food or book a dinner at hotel if you don’t have a car.
    • Keep up the good job

We had a hire car-great location, nice and quiet, close to Hakuba and Ogizawa Station for Kurobe Alpine Walk, nice large room with seating area with views of forest and river, traditional japanese breakfast and dinner.Nice outdoor onsen with views.Tremendous staff very helpful.Would stay here again

The staff and most especially Ellie who really saved our family vacation. The rooms were nice. The breakfast a set meal in the Japanese restaurant in the hotel was nice and the breads were nice. It was nice to come down and have breakfast all set up for you. The breakfasts did lack some variety and really other than the breads there were no Western options. The Onsen in the hotel was very nice as were the provided japanese clothing that you could use to go to the Onsen (or even breakfast). If you are staying without a car I'd suggest the full meal plan as you can not walk into the restaurant for dinner.

The location is requires either a rental car or a close paying of attention to the limited shuttle bus schedule. On the plus side the schedules are posted and available at the hotel and the stop is just outside the hotel back door. The buses will get you to and from the ski resorts and to and from the Shinano-Omachi station if you can get the timings right. However, the real issue with the hotel location is that there is only one local restaurant open during our stay. That restaurant was an older couple running it that served Japanese traditional meals but the hours are very limited as well. For reasons we will never know the TV in our room turned on twice randomly. (we unplugged it). I don't remember that there were any USB outlets in the room. It was nice to have a foosball table and a mini pool table but both were in a state of disrepair to the point that the pool table was unusable. Overall if Ellie had not helped us arrange a car rental our family stay here would have been a disaster due to the location and the fact that none of us were down hill skiers

The staff was amazing, above and beyond is an understatement. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice. A bit far from Hakuba but the shuttle buss was very helpful and if you have a car that is not a problem!

Quite clean, the beds were already made which was really easy nice to not have to set up the beds after getting there. Stayed in a tatami room with 5 people. Downstairs has free coffee, tea and water. Was very helpful when we were going to be late with check in, and even though there was not much parking left, staff helped us find a spot.

Because of winter, the outside onsen was not going as usual. Would have been nice to know ahead of time.

    8BennyPosted on: 2-23-2025

Staff was phenomenal, rooms are big, nice lobby, even a cool little bar as well as an Onsen

the rooms were a bit cold and main method of heating was aircon, so it was a bit dry - but really no big deal. overall its great.

    7NanthichaPosted on: 2-18-2025

Staffs are quite helpful even though they could rarely speak English. The hotel is located at a practical distance from Hakuba Valley if you rent a car and there's a lot of parking space. There aren't many restaurants in the area, though, so better reserve seats or go early for your dinner.

The room is for four but is still small even when we only have 3 people; if we have 4 people, it'd be very crowded.

    8HaniffPosted on: 2-13-2025

Hotel location located is good, its around 25 minutes drive to Hakuba and 15 miunutes drive to closer AEON and Restaurant. For breakfast, earlier is 7am and 7.30am only, 8.30am breakfast already close.

Everythings is good the only things outdoor onsen, sauna and also laundry machine all out of order during our stay.Hotel staff are good, but for my opinion since this hotel located in the tourist spot so the staff need to know how to speak english little bit.

    10SeePosted on: 2-2-2025

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room size is good for a family of 4.

The outdoor onsen is closed for winter. Would have been nice to soak in the onsen with the snow falling

    7JESSEPosted on: 1-27-2025

Breakfast was good. Traditional Japanese style, set menu. Salmon one day, Mackeral the next day. Miso, lotus root, sm. potato salad, and a hot pot every day. A bit repetitive, but good.

    Could be more variety.

    3MichaelPosted on: 1-8-2025

there wasn't really any specific to like.

I do not appreciate if we are informed at the day of check-in that we won't have breakfast on our last day.I cannot imagine that they didn't know this earlier and we feel tricked into that facility because if we knew from the beginning, we wouldn't have made the reservation.Second, the Onsen wasn't as expected. The outdoor Onsen (Rotenburo) wasn't working (no water in) and the Sauna wasn't working either. The drink vending machine was running out of stock and nobody took care.Smoking room wasn't cleaned once. Not a very pleasant stay.

It’s good for family. Food was nice. They call us to remind our dining time. Onsen was nice. When it was hot we opened the window little.

Room was little hotter because of the heater. But we off it & opened the window Little. Other than that Hotel was nice for the price we paid.

The hotel was a convenient location when visiting the Kurobe Alphine Route from the Ogizawa side when you have a car. The area surrounding the hotel was quiet, as was the Omachi town during our visit in 14-15 Oct. The hotel itself was rather grand, the rooms were comfortable and of good size, and the beverage corner near the reception was well-stocked. Special mention goes to Ms Bunkei Man. She was most helpful, spending time helping me to book online tickets and offering suggestions of restaurants and places of interest to visit. I rate her a 10/10 for customer service.

    Nothing comes to mind.

The staff were all friendly and helpful.

I didn't expect That much from the hotel, I had really just looked for someplace to sleep and maybe had an onsen. The room was incredibly hot and stuffy but there was no air conditioning unit that could've cooled the room down. There was a fan in the room but even turning that on did not help. In actuality, it was blasting hot air. There were some mosquitoes that had gotten into the room as well and I got bit tf up. Combining the heat, buzzing mosquitos, and itchy bites, I did not sleep well.

Wifi is not available at all. I saw the reputation in advance, but it was worse than I expected. Room was nice and I slept well. Food was not good, but not so bad. For cleanness, it looked clean, and surface was ok, but not inside. I may not come again if wifi status doesn’t improve. It is so important , my wife and daughter were so disappointed.

Loved the Buffet breakfast. Room was beautiful with traditional Tatami mats and Shuji screens with mattress beds on the floor - super spacious. Breakfast was nice served on a tray at your table. I prefer buffet where you can choose what youd like to eat but this was nice Japanese flavours

    everything was good

    6MarkPosted on: 5-24-2024

Very friendly staff. Enjoyed the onsen and Japanese breakfast as hungry because dinner was not very large.

Building is a little old. Paid for a larger modernised room, but no seating area inside. Lots of mosquitos inside. Bathroom had a broken glass window. Room was also not so clean.Dinner was a big disappointment, very limited and hot tempura food etc was brought as soon as you sit down, looks like the staff want to go home early.

The location is convenient to access the Tateyama Alpine Route Ogizawa station. It is well nestled in a lot of green and was generally peaceful (except for the tour groups that arrived). The room was clean. We stayed 2 nights and the first breakfast was great, the second breakfast was a bit too vegetarian for my liking as we did not get any fish or meat. The staff was very friendly but they don't communicate well in English. If you can speak Mandarin, you have no problem --- many of the staff speaks the language. I was lucky I could.

The hotel is popular with Taiwanese tour groups who were really noisy. On one of the dinners they practically "conquered" the whole dining room and were shouting to each other all the time from one end of the room to another. I wish the hotel has arranged for us small parties to dine in another room. The flooring was a bit old, although very clean --- there were squeaks when we walked and it was disturbing since I was not staying alone.
