    Pros +

    • Good hotel with goo location close to highway and railway station at affordable price. Good parking not too far!
    • I was really impressed by the level service provided by the staff. They are very polite and helpful. I haven't seen this level of service even in Japan. The quality of the breakfast also very good. The food is delicious.
    • The room was so easy and comfortable to be in. I had stayed here previously and chose to stay in a smoking room. It’s great to be able to open a window. Hotel sheets were lovely and crispy and bed was firm, exactly the way I like it. Bench/desk was lovely and spacious and it was easy to stay organised.

    Cons -

    • Facilities - Take note that there is no microwave or utensils provided, so it is hard to heat up food in the hotel.Cleanliness - Given the age of the hotel, the room was slightly worn down, but largely acceptable. Lift lobbies and corridors were well-maintained and well-lit. No major issues.Comfort - Room is spacious, but the toilet is somewhat small. The bed was alright, but the pillows were too flat. You can ask for additional pillows from the receptionists.
    • More pillows on the beds would be good. We asked for extra but only received one.
    • Our a/c wasn't working, but it was early November, so it was only a little stuffy. We didn't mention it to the hotel because we didn't feel like moving and it wasn't a big deal. Although ...in retrospect we probably should have asked about it, because we may have been doing something wrong with the thermostat. It was still a really nice room and we had a pleasant stay.

Staff - Hotel receptionists were polite and helpful. They attempted to communicate clearly despite a language barrier, and one of them could speak fluent Chinese. Staff at the breakfast service, especially the omelette chef, were friendly and courteous.Facilities - There were a variety of restaurants and shops (pastries, accessories) on the lower levels. There were vending and ice machines on multiple levels.Location - Matsumoto Station is accessible by foot within 15 min. There are convenience stores, places for lunch and dinner, and department stores nearby. You can ask the front desk receptionists to provide recommendations if they are available.Breakfast - Decent for the price. I recommend ordering from the omelette chef.

We had a fantastic stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and always available to help with anything we needed. The hotel breakfast was amazing, with a huge variety of Western and Japanese options, and the omelette chef was especially kind. The location was also great—only a 10-minute walk from Matsumoto Castle and the main area of town. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended.

More pillows on the beds would be good. We asked for extra but only received one.

The staff were so kindhearted and friendly. I had a bad fall in the train station before we arrived and they gave me ice packs and a hotel wheelchair and took us and our luggage up to our room. They were SO nice and courteous. The room was nice and clean. The price is reasonable for mice rooms and a great view.

Everything was great, the location and the staff were amazing.Breakfast was delicious and we were very satisfied.

The pillows for us weren't very comfortable

This hotel is in an excellent location. 5 minute walk from Matsumoto station as well as a shuttle service almost any time you need it. Breakfast was good with lots of Japanese choices. Scrambled eggs were too soft and too small. Coffee was OK. Chinese restaurant in the hotel was very good. Just a block away from the Kawagushiko bus bus stop. Room was quite spacious and beds were comfortable.

    Nothing to complain about.

Breakfast was very good. The location was also very good.

This is on me but also on booking:I did not notice that the room was a smoking room. Mostly because the only rooms they had on booking were smoking rooms. Surprisingly, they had an available room for an extra 2000 Yen per night

The hotel is well located to travel i the region. Staff is very helpful and breakfast is great!

    9PaulaPosted on: 10-9-2025

Very friendly and helpful, decent breakfast, comfy beds, spacious room

It was difficult to get to the onset at such a late time each day. Also, the top floor restaurant was not open. It would be nice to have a place for a glass of wine e and some snacks.

A relatively large modern and stylish hotel with nice facilities including the sunny breakfast dining area, interesting lobby with a variety of exhibits, on-site parking in the basement and a bakery/gift shop. The Premier room was of a good size with a well appointed en suite bathroom. The breakfast in the cafe area was delicious and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. There were other dining options on-site as the hotel is also a wedding function center.

The only downside to this hotel is it's location. It's very close to the railway station so in a commercial area but a good 30 minute walk from Matsumoto Castle and the shopping district.

Great holiday in a convenient location, friendly staff who helped forward our luggage and clean comfortable rooms.

    7NikhileshPosted on: 4-27-2025

Good location - walkable from the JR station (< 10 mins) and not too far from the castle. Nice breakfast with a mix of Western and Japanese food. Executive lounge with tea / coffee and drinks in the early evening. Staff were good and helped us transfer our luggage to the next hotel.

The room (executive room) was smaller than we expected.

    8FlorianPosted on: 4-22-2025

Overall good overnight stay - spacious room, beds (especially for Japan) reasonably soft, excellent blind-out curtains, good bathroom amenities. Concierge super-helpful, free shuttle bus to station nice touch (though it's an easy 8-10' walk). For type of hotel quite good breakfast buffet spread.

Two real minus points, one minor- room ventilation: while on can open the windows (and in the cooler season like now this was helpful), the road and teain are noisy - but air conditioning is totally inadequate, too little fresh air and not cooling enough- height of bathroom - very low, for tall people like me showering is a bit a challengeAs others wrote, the hotel is south of the station, while all sights are north / east - and there is no immediate bus stop. But can walk, or take hotel shuttle to station

    Location and staff, breakfast lovely.

    9RichardPosted on: 4-17-2025

Very good location; excellent breakfast buffet; super helpful staff. Comfortable room. Reasonable price.

A minor point, but the hotel does not have its own onsen but has a regular shuttle to a sister hotel that does.

    9MartinPosted on: 4-17-2025

Very modern and everything in very good condition. Good heating. View of city and mountains from room. Kettle and tea/coffee. Evening meal in hotel's Chinese reataurant excellent, and likewise breakfast. Good price for the standard.

Nothing really, except room slighlty small.
