The Onsen was nice and clean - not too crowded. Free amenity were offered at check in. Rooms were nice & clean.Excellent breakfast selection.

Have to pay for overnight parking. The room is a bit small.

Love the breakfast buffet. The selection is great, featuring many regional dishes. The coffee from the machine was rich. The welcome drink was a nice touch. Location was good. Close to the bus depot and train station. There is a good size table in our room! Very spacious.

Bathroom counter space is one of the smallest out of all the hotels we have stayed in Japan.

Short walk to the train station, helpful and friendly staff, washing machine in the room

The room was set-up for three people, but it was rather small. There was a smell coming from the toilet(?), had to use a deodorizer spray rather frequently to try to neutralize it.

    7GabrielaPosted on: 1-2-2026

The staff was very friendly and we were welcomed with hot soup in the evening. The breakfast is also excellent.

The minus of this accommodation was the smell in the room, something like garbage. The room was Japanese average. Personally, I was very disappointed that the sauna is only in the men's part of the hot springs. If I had been warned about this in advance, I would have looked for another accommodation. Because I took it mainly because of the sauna.

The room was clean, spacious and pretty. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We didn't get to try the simple dinner they offer, but it sounded interesting too. We absolutely loved the "milky" onsen. It was also very comfortable to be so close to the train station and within walking distance of many interesting things. Would definitely stay here again.

Great 1 nite stay at the Hotel. Great location which is about 5 mins walk from train station and very easy to locate. Free welcome drinks, ice cream after onsen and supper (Chazuke) which is very yummy. Room is clean and modern, room size abit small for 2 adults + 1 teenager, but for short stay it's ok. Thank you so much for setting up the futon bed before we check in which was greatly appreciated. Staffs are friendly and can speak English. We explored the town by foot to Matsumoto Castle and Nawate Shopping street (abt 10-15 mins walk). The Bus Station is also located very near to the Hotel whereby we need to catch 0955 bus the next morning to Takayama. Will consider staying back the same Hotel next time.

    Clean

It was a contactless check in but the front desk people were hard to understand and we had no contact with anyone....very sterile....like robots

Despite the rooms being a bit small, the decorations and layout of the room were well designed, using high quality appliance brands. The location is good - a short 20min stroll to Matsumoto Castle and lots of restaurants nearby.

This is our second stay. The facilities are immaculately clean, the onsen is very nice, the staff is kind and competent. We had a great night sleep in comfortable beds and a quiet room very close to the train station and attractions in this beautiful city.

    10YukoPosted on: 11-30-2025

Everything. I especially loved that my room had a washing machine (and laundry detergent!). The room also had hangers and a ledge to hang them. Made it easy to start the second half of my trip with fresh clothes!

    10SalomePosted on: 11-27-2025

Breakfast was great and had a ton of variety! The onsen was super clean and relaxing. The room was a great size for the price. The hotel itself was a good distance from the train station and Matsumoto castle.

No issues - probably my favorite stay during this entire trip!

    6corinnePosted on: 11-25-2025

The bath were great and brand new

The staff was a bit snobby. The room was very small.

    10MichaelPosted on: 11-21-2025

Phenomenal breakfast spread was a great value for the price! Possibly the most over-the-top hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. Just be sure to reserve it 1-2 nights in advance because it’s really popular and gets booked up. Wonderful overall stay; room was comfortable, spacious, clean and quiet, with lovely views of the mountains. While simple and small, we loved the onsen and little freebies that made it feel like a special daily ritual (happy hour drinks, sheet masks, after-onsen popsicles, massage chairs and even a late night rice soup bar with various toppings). Excellent location close to the train and bus stations.

Breakfast booking system could be improved.

Clean, comfortable room.Friendly staff.Close to train station.

Great customer service, my wife forgot her hat and the hotel was kind enough to ship it to our next hotel, very professional and accommodating.

    9BernardPosted on: 11-6-2025

Tabino was a short walk from the train station and not very far away from Matsumoto Castle and Nakamachi Street where most restaurants are located. The hotel was clean, staff were very willing to help. Breakfast was very good and the evening snack was unexpected but very enjoyable. The Onsen was nice but not too big. The hotel had an app on the TV that showed how busy the Onsen was.

Onsen was busy for much of the evening so challenging to pick a moment to use it
