Hotel Altea Paradise 1917 - Adults Only

This was literally paradise. Would advise to rent a car to get there, but if not, the old town of Altea is about a 20 minute walk with lots of shops and restaurants

The hotel can be described in one word: PERFECT! Not only were the rooms very clean, but also the pool and garden area. The garden had everything you needed to relax (chairs and hammocks) and even had the possibility to buy drinks and snacks to accompany the relaxed vibe. Our room had a lovely rooftop terrace that was great for sunrise and sunset views of the nearby mountain ranges. The most spectacular part of the stay was Aranza. She made fantastic breakfasts every morning and excellent cakes that tasted great. She was so kind and polite, even with us only speaking a little Spanish. She even cooked us an early breakfast so that we wouldn't be hungry due to needing to catch an early flight. We can honestly say she has been the best host we have met on all of our travels. We would definitely be looking to stay here again and would recommend anyone who is looking to stay in the area to stay here.

Truly a little slice of paradise in Altea. We loved the pool area and the garden oasis. Breakfast was lovely and we really enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere of the hotel. Would definitely go back!

Lots of mosquitos that made hanging out by the pool a little uncomfortable

It is a unique property, the gardens are lush with beautiful flowering tropical plants, banana trees, palms and birds. It is an oasis tucked behind the center and old town of Altea. The rooms are charming, a bit of funkiness the property which reminds me of Costa Rica and Hawaii. It is hip, very comfortable and has a joie d’ vive energy.

Very nice staff and the breakfast was really good. The hotel very nice with a romantic green lush garden. The room had a very nice balcony with a view.

The room was a bit small so it was difficult to fit the suitcases.

A very unique property full of character and beautiful grounds to wander in and relax. The owners are very helpful and friendly nothing too much trouble. Walking distance to the old town. Wonderful stay very relaxing. Thank you both so much. Xxx

This hotel definitely lives up to its name ( Paradise), Beautiful setting, lovely breakfast, Great location but most of all very kind and caring staff, very helpful, me and my husband will definitely be going back ? xx

What a wonderful find!Definitely need to return in summer so we can use the pool and beautiful grounds...We walked into Altea and got a taxi back each time, only a €5 trip!Wonderful breakfast , lovely wee honesty bar , lovely staff ?

Bathroom basin very high. Hard to reach for small people. Maybe a bit more shelf space needed.Breakfast room nice but a little bit squashed around the toasting/coffee making area as it was too close together.

Breakfast … stale cereal, fizzy fruit salad, lack of fresh fruit , poor coffee and chaotic at times getting foodThin towels, hard pillow in bedroom.Being charged 2 euros extra for a make your own afternoon cuppa/ tea bag especially as we missed breakfast that day as it starts at 8.30/9 am depending on day of the week.Although there is clearly a need for security cameras we did smile when we saw one in the honesty bar! FYI the pool in November is cold so only for the hardy.

The hotel is very clean and well organised. The design is cosy and quirky. Staff are lovely.

One of the best parts of the stay was the fresh breakfast every morning, a healthy balanced breakfast was thoughtfully and carefully laid out each morning a perfect way to start the day. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful it truly feels like a tropical paradise hidden away in the dry rolling hills of Valencia, I think my girlfriend and I counted 6 different fruit plants and trees around the area. The location was fantastic only a 15 minute walk from the city center of Altea and 20 minutes from the beach. Finally the staff was super attentive, polite and welcoming, particularly the front desk attendant who also was in charge of making up our rooms and cooking the wonderful breakfast spread which involved freshly baked goods every morning 10/10
