- Attention to detail and wonderful staff. Beautiful rooms and common spaces. Great location.
- The location was perfect.. so close to the old town. The team delivered possibly the friendliest, professional and helpful service we have ever received Sarah & Adelina were on the reception when we arrived and like all city centre parking attached to hotels it can be a little precarious - Andelina parked our car for us - amazing what a great start to our stay.. Sarah was better than any tour guide with her suggestions and guidance. The hotel is absolutely wonderfully decorated, everywhere spotlessly clean … Isabella the evening receptionist also so so helpful - nothing too much trouble

Hotel Abaco was exceptional across the board. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was extremely nice and attentive - truly, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay better. The room was very clean and nice. The hotel is located near tons of restaurants. I highly recommend staying here!
Veronica greeted us and was really helpful. Location was super - about a five minute walk from both the beautiful church square, and also from the promenade.
We had an Excellent stay at Abaco apartments. It is in an ideal location, close to the beach, and near all shops & amenities. Also it is close to the old town. Which is a must visit, if staying in Altea. The apartment was great, and it is around the corner from the main hotel. Both have an old exterior and very modern interior. The apartment was a great size, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we were even provided with a cleaning pack, which included washing up liquid, a cloth, and scowerer, and a washing machine tablet. An Excellent Idea... There were sufficiant pots & pans if needed. Staff were amazing, and answered all our questions. They were extremely frinedly & welcoming. I would highly recommend the Abaco Hotel and apartments to family & friends and I am sure we will return in the near future.
Nothing to dislike...
Great location, just a few minutes from the main square and the sea. Spotlessly clean and good attention to detail in the rooms.Breakfast selection was better than we expected.
The room was a bit on the small size.
Ideally located, beautifully renovated historic building with secure parking available...
This is not a complaint but we are both vegan... it meant that we couldn't use the honey shower and soap gel. Otherwise, a wonderful experience!
Our room was amazing in everyway, we were given an upgrade upon our arrival. We arrived on the early flight and we were aware of the 4.30 check in. We arrived around 1 pm expecting to dump our bags and go for a walk. But no the staff were amazing, the lady made us both a coffee and enjoyed it in the amazing seating area and then reception confirmed our room was ready. Couldn't fault anything
Staff at reception superb. Offered overview of facilities and places to visit/eat (which were really good). Excellent location, easy walk to old town or beach. Every room at the hotel that we visited was very, very clean too and tastefully decorated. Really relaxing stay.
Beautiful boutique hotel in a lovely restored building. Very friendly and attentive staff
Parking was difficult for us Canadians who are used to bigger spaces, but no fault of the hotel. They did offer to park our vehicle for us though.
Great service and hotel. Very welcoming staff and excellent breakfast
The location is perfect, right in between the beach and the historical center.
A bit noisy due to street parties and bars.

False advertising - rooms look nothing like the main booking page
This was falsely advertised and I would not recommend it at all. The room was small, dingy, poorly lit, and in a different building to what is shown on the primary listing. We also booked on the basis of there being an elevator so we didn't have to carry our heavy bags up stairs. The elevator is on the new side of the hotel only, and there was no elevator in the building we were allocated. As a result we had to drag our bags up flights of stairs with great difficulty. We tried to address this with the hotel management and they were extremely unhelpful and rude, raising their voice which could be heard from the street outside. Would not recommend this place
It was very bohemian and pretty and great location
The aircon in the suite we booked kept turning itself off and was quite complicated to put back on - the room was also advertised as sound proof which it wasn’t and also the toilet sliding doors are glass with a section in the middle frosted but absolutely no privacy if you go to the loo which was quite awkward my partner and I had to ask the other one to leave if we needed to use the WC
Room - we stayed in The Cesar and it was beautifully decorated, quiet, and comfortable Beds and pillows - super comfyPrivacy and serenity - The vibe at this hotel is really relaxed and it's quite private. I enjoyed staying in the building across from reception because we were able to come and go as we pleased and we almost never saw other hotel guests or staff
The internet went out for hours at a time, and the front desk explained it as bad coverage over all of Altea and said there was nothing they could do to fix it. This meant the streaming on the TV didn't work either, and I was trapped in the room with food poisoning for an entire day with nothing to do for hours on end until the internet returned.A/C doesn't work well and can't go below 20°C, the room was mostly comfortable but this nuance wasn't mentioned to us (we set the AC at 18°C to try to cool the room quickly and spent hours in a warm room before we called the front desk and they let us know after the fact).Parking is tough in this area. We arrived at 1pm and the hotel parking was already full. If you bring a bigger car, street parking will be difficult. We parked in the nearby lot one night and had to move it because of the Tuesday market. The only other spot we found was a ten minute, up hill walk away.City view - The views from this hotel are falsely advertised. You can't see anything from this room and nothing noteworthy from the rooftop terrace.
The hotel was better than I expected the room ,staff , breakfast, location was excellent I cannot say enough the hotel was the icing on the cake if the trip
Five star property with fabulous staff and great attention to detail…. Niche boutique hotel that we will definitely return to
Nothing!
Such a beautiful hotel! Small, spotless, beautifully decorated, the kindest and most helpful staff. Everything from the bed to the big fluffy towels was perfect.
We loved everything about Hotel Abaco!
