Hotel Universal Terme

Clean, central, nice staff. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The food was very good. We stayed at another terme last winter and this one had higher quality food. At supper, there is a big buffet of sliced meats & cheeses, salads, cooked vegetables and also desserts and fruits. You can access this throughout the supper meal. It was a bit of a stampede at first but the staff replenished everything regularly and kept the buffet neat and clean. The breakfast was also good with different breads, pastries, scrambled and boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, vegetables, etc. A waiter took our coffee order and brought us fresh coffees from the bar. There is also German style coffee and hot milk. The terme itself was smaller than the previous year but had more jets. This one had a Kneipp path (hot & cold pools) and a sauna of some sort plus the indoor and outdoor pools. It’s in the center of Abano, you can walk a few meters and be in a pedestrian area. There was also music in the lobby at night (lots of people came and listened and danced) and an exercise class in the outside pool.

We liked everything but learned as we were leaving that there are parking lots to the left and right of the building. Spots on the left are larger. We also learned that this hotel does charge for the mini bar.

Pools, both inside and outside are very clean and good maintained. The room was nice, with the balcony, spacious, as well as the bathroom, clean. The breakfast was OK, but the dinners were exceptional, Congrats to the chef!

We booked deluxe room because we wanted to use the spa and wanted a balcony. However, we had to pay extra to use the spa, and we didn't have a terrace. The room was big, but not OK, old, not renovated, with some missing decoration details.The view was to the outside pool, but together with all the construction materials and tools, which were stored right under the windows. The breakfast was POOR, definitely not a 4 star hotel breakfast. Do not recommend to people who want to experience a 4 star hotel.

The pools are very nice. I had an excellent facial in the spa.

Food was good.

The poolS are excellent, great thermal water, the stuff is all very kind, the facilities and the bedroom are very clean. We had a great experience. Parked the car for free in the hotel parking lot, we could also stay a bit longer after check out to make some work related calls. Lovely hotel cat who is in reality the One running the place! :-) Had a great post dinner chat with the bartender who served two great drinks. We will go back soon.

I wish they had more choice of vegan/plant based food for breakfast, there was little compared to the meat/dairy: fruit salad, bread with jam. Good choice of alternative milk variety and excellent cappuccino with oat milk

Great spa. Comfortable soft mattress. Nice breakfast.

I like pool, room, breakfast

I didn't like very much the rooms furnishings and more general the hotel furnishings because of the old style and the hotel clientele(customers) are too old.

The hotel has a distinctive vintage atmosphere, which adds character to the hotel. The room we got was big, with double bed and a single bed, plus balcony. The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. The big stars of the hotel are exceptional food and the thermal pools, which will leave you relaxed and with soft skin. There were lovely organized activities (water gym and entertainment). I will go back

It was too hot for us (28 degrees), so we turned off the heating to get the temperature we likedThere were some issues with my 2 massages - I cancelled the 3rd one

We just had a really wonderful relaxing holiday at Hotel Universal Terme. We just very satisfied with facilities &room& atmosphere &very polite helpful team& good breakfast&central location.We had a very special experience at thermal pools, both inside and outside, at morning full of sun, at evening time swimming under stars.First day was rain, but it also was so special to me, unforgettable.Thank you very much!

Time restrictions: not being able to have a late morning breakfast and can’t have dinner after 20:30.Poor buffet.If you don’t arrive early the buffet is almost empty. Especially if you want a particular dessertThere’s wasn’t a sauna but a bio sauna (a colder one with more humidity)

Old-style hotel with thermal pools and spa serving mostly older Italians and Germans. Quiet and relaxing. We stayed here 6 years ago and knew what to expect. We booked a suite to have sitting area. Room had walk-in closet.

No room coffee service in the room.

we loved that the pools and pool area & breakfast room were peaceful, no music booming out.

Loved the spa zone. Although hotel needs renovation it has charm and character.

The bed wasn’t comfortable.
