Affordable andComfortable stay, friendly staff,good foods. When the pool are still under maintenance my kids are free to use other facilities -movie room. Such a great experience!!

breakfast was reaaally good, stayed from 17th-20th Dec 2025, they serve different varieties of food daily. loved the beef sausage and their pandan pudding!! The pudding was one of the best! Also convenient for toddlers too, you can DIY your own porridge for your child. It's just the table placements are a little dirty, other than that, everything is almost perfect. Empty chafing dishes are refilled very quickly with several staff supervising on the spot. The shower was excellent overall. Although the water takes some time to warm up, it was very refreshing after spending the entire day outdoors. One of the best shower experiences I’ve had. For optimal comfort, I recommend bringing your own shampoo and body wash.It was a very memorable stay for a first-time visit to Pontianak. The hotel offers excellent facilities and service. During our stay, we unfortunately witnessed a fire that broke out at a nearby house next to the hotel; hopefully, no one was injured. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I visit Pontianak in the future.

The table placements they use for breakfast tables are a little dirty. the shower water takes forever to get warm but will be one of the best once it gets warm :)

The rooms given all to us were not to our expectation.All rooms given with a very small window one hardly can see the outside. Firstly given smoking rooms which they said already cleaned from the smoking smell.We refused because we did booked no smoking rooms.Towels and bedsheets and bed covers are all yellowish.Compare with 2 years back when we first stayed there the conditions were different.

The hotel management granted my request to move to other room with better view. Before my room's windows are facing unfinished construction.

The room has no sound proof

it is way better than ibis by far. you get your money's worth here over ibis

a few little stains on the sheets or pillows and the toilet seat. my room had a support column and i stubbed my toe on it because it was right next to the bed. there are also sugar ants in the room. also i was locked out of my room one hour before checkout time

It little far away from center of city.. but still interesting attraction in walking distance

Clean, comfort and warm hospitality

When I brought my baby for breakfast, we looked for a table in the bar area but it was full. We couldn't help but sit near the smoking area (it's actually not a problem because it's blocked by the closing door), but we were annoyed by the people smoking because every time they wanted to go inside they forgot to close the door and the smoke came into the room and there were even people who came in with their cigarettes into the lobby, it drove me crazy when I saw it. For those of you with babies who want to have breakfast at the restaurant, make sure you book a table inside away from the smoking area.

A strategic hotel in the middle of the city, close to the church. Breakfast has many options. The staff is very helpful whether at the receptionist counter, house keeping and restaurant. Thank you Golden Tulip Hotel.

Wifi unstable,the lights in the room are not bright,it's hard to read a book.

The room is clean. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was cool enough for the weather in Pontianak. Breakfast was good. Location was good, many cafes and restaurants around the hotel.

Excellent breakfast buffet. Nice dimsum on Sunday. Nice little pool for some cooling down after a long day. Gym was small however very adequate.

Bed was comfortable.Buffet breakfast was good, lots of local foods to try.Staff were friendly and helpful.Music played in lobby throughout the day on a Dayak instrument was very easy to listen too.

Lighting in the room too dark to read by..Beside lights controlled by a masterswitch along withthe main light, so could not be used individually when the main light was off..Noisy, we were on the 5th floor and could hear the band playing at night. Noise from people in the corridor.

The location and amenities. The service we received upon our arrival was impeccable.

Wood furnishings have aged and do not reflect the price.

Helpful staff who tried really hard to provide a good service - when we had a problem with the air conditioning in our room they moved us to another room. The food in the restaurant was very good and the hotel does serve alcohol.

If you’re coming from UK/Europe be aware that this is a 3 star hotel, not a 4 star.

Room was spacious

We got in late and was offered smoking rooms instead of the non-smoking that we ordered.

Breakfast is good. Mostly its the same food.

Receptionist very good...fast action taken after making request ..friendly too. Breakfast was great..so many choices. Room clean and housekeeping doing great job too!

Dim sum at Cin Moi is good. Staff is responsive

Our room was at the corner and everytime somebody slam the door outside the room.

Dissatisfaction

I have made double payment for the charges in respect of my stay in the property.The charge for the stay is RM728.41 (Rp2,277,000.00). During the booking process in Booking’s application, I have made a payment using a credit card to book the stay. Thereafter, on 31.5.2023, the credit card has been charged for payment for the sum of USD236.33 (RM1,122.02).On 2.6.2023, during the check-in process in the said hotel, the hotel’s staff has informed me that the earlier payment made is for the purpose of repayment. This amount will be refunded to me after check-out.The staff then required me to make another payment in the sum of RM728.41 (Rp2,277,000.00). Hence, I have made the said amount using a debit card. To-date, I have not receive the refund of USD236.33 (RM1,122.02). I have tried to contact the hotel through messages via Booking’s application. However, I did not receive any reply or response from the hotel.I am very concern on this matter because this seems like a scam due to suspicious nature of transaction. I am also did not expect that I have to make another payment upon my arrival in the hotel.
