Mercure Bords de Loire Saumur

View, service, location and breakfast

Amazing room with amazing view over the river and with the Chateau across the way

No much !

The view of the river and the town of Saumur is second to none. We loved our room and it’s outlook. Wonderful location, lovely staff, and very nice breakfast. Can’t wait to come back!

We decided not to stay.

Smelt awful, rooms sub par and carpark full of glass where clearly there had been a break in to a car.

Lovely location beside the Loire. Great restaurants and very helpful staff.

The location and breakfast

Noisy room: television and plumbing noise from neighbouring rooms

Location

Genuinely have never come across more rude, unpleasant unprofessional and unhelpful staff in over 30 years of intense travelling . With exception of one gentleman in the morning of departure the staff clearly could not be bothered to do more than look at their desktop and see hours pass .

Incredible view over the river. Friendly and helpful staff. Good size room loved everything about it.

That we couldn't stay longer

Perfect location for exploring Saumur being only about a ten minute walk from the centre of town. Beautiful view from our window of the Loire, the château and church.

Not enough soundproofing meant noise travelled.

Superb location... spectacular views to the South across the Loire ... Saumur Castle, town Hall, churches. Very helpful staff and great rooms. Excellent parking facilities.

Modern hotel with great views across the river to Saumur. Easy parking in private car park. Good breakfast. 5 minute walk across the bridge into town.

Lovely location with stunning views from our room and from the bar. The staff were so helpful and welcoming.

River view room - beautiful view. Room as described, very clean and comfortable. Fridge and safe for use also. Lots of parking

Great location on the riverside with great views , private parking within a minutes walk, comfy beds quiet location. 10 minutes walk across the bridge to several restaurants although there are restaurants on the same island as hotel

Great location and views over the river, bar area and super secure parking.

The location of the hotel. staff were friendly. Service was good.

As it was near the river there were insects so couldn't open the window. Maybe if it had Insect nets on the window we could open the window

The setting was beautiful. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was lovely.

Excellently located comfortable hotel with lovely views over the river and great breakfasts. Secure parking and bike storage. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nil

Good location and view (although I was on the non-river side). Friendly staff and comfortable. Breakfast good if a little expensive.

Milk for the coffee in room would have been nice. Bathroom beginning to look a little tired.
