Staff at the desk were very friendly and the bedding and were excellent.

We were like to find paring outside the hotel but imagine it could be a question to ask the hotel.

We booked this hotel as we needed secure parking, we had been travelling for a month and had a car full and didn't want to unpack everything. Secure parking was charged at 12.50 euros a night (website stated 10 euros). There is free car parking on the road outside. It was a about a 5 min walk into the centre and the room we had looked out on to a river. The car park is small, but we were the only car in the car park, so was perfect from that point of view.

Unfortunately, as we booked late, the only room available was a suite and we paid an inflated price for it. The room was not a suite, it was just a larger room with a couple of chair/beds in it. The bathrooms seem to have had a bit of a makeover, but the rest of the room was very dated, the room was smelly (I think it was the cleaning products used). The decor was very 90's and tatty. A few of the sockets didn't work. There were two kettles as the built in one didn't work. If using the other kettle you had to put it on the floor. No milk provided. There was a mini fridge. The safe didn't work. The reception area really lacked any atmosphere and felt very neglected. If we had paid a room rate of £80 or £90 a night, we wouldn't have been that disappointed, but for nearly £400 for two nights, it was just not acceptable. We had breakfast on one morning, continental, wasn't too bad but limited selection and a lot had been eaten by the time we came down. I think the hotel is used for coach tours. Such a shame as it is in a good location - I would choose another hotel if you can.

The staff was helpful, the location was close to restaurants and the secure garage for bikes was appreciated.

Great for an overnight stay to explore Saumur. Comfy beds

No fitted shower over the bath, handheld only but overall we were really happy.

Position had a view of the Loire The lift. The size of the rooms. The friendliness of the staff. There is free disabled parking bays outside the front of the hotel and free parking in the road to the side of the property we didn’t use the underground private parking as there was ample parking outside.

Great position with views of the river, friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room,easy walk to the old town and tourist attractions.

Location is good, parking available and dogs allowed.

We were first given a room that looked (and smelled!) like it had never been opened since the 90s. When we found out that the room had also no wifi, we asked for another room and we’re given a much better one - but we received no assistance at all in moving our luggage or the baby cot. The staff did not speak english and communication was hard. Overall, the hotel is in urgent need of major renovations.

nice hotel nice location friendly staff have stayed here many times before .its great for central saumur you can walk everywhere and some great local restaurants .just around the hotel.stayed march 2024 for a few days its a great area for food and wine and the locals are great .

Big, comfortable bed, clean room, airy, air conditioning.

Very cramped bathroom, could only sit sideways on the toilet and it was difficult to get into the shower with a small gap between screen and wall. Also no non-slip bath mat.
