Logis Hôtel Restaurant Cristal

This was a 5 ¿¿ experience in customer service! The room was adequate-the service was amazing. Highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel - fabulous service, food & drinks. The meal & dessert was heavenly!!!!!!

The hotel restaurant was lovely; we had a very good dinner at a reasonable price. The location was great and the staff were really helpful and welcoming. The continental breakfast was good.

The room was a bit tired and although it had a spa bath I'm not sure it was very well maintained so it wasn't used. The shower was fine. Rooms at the front of the hotel face onto the river front and were very noisy until about 01.30 with the bars and cafe's below. Rooms to the side were not affected so I would opt for one of those. Tea/coffee making in the room was not provided.

Everything, for a two stars hotel it meets all the expectations and even more. Location great, staff ok, rooms clean.

The stairs to go up the room, the ones that you need to go from outside, are very small and can be an obstacle when you need to carry the luggages, but you can make it

The staff were friendly and really informative. The location of the property is in the heart of Saumur - it was great (although also the downside). The room was a great size and facilities were good. It was very hot in the room but the hotel does make it clear they do not have air conditioning - so we expected this.

Unfortunately it was incredibly noisy. The location is fantastic, but there was a group outside the hotel at the bar until around 4am - and they were not quiet. Once that settled down, a road sweeper came along at 5am, and then at 6am (understandably) the staff started setting out the tables ready for the morning. The noise is the only issue we had with the stay.

NOISE. My goodness, we expected noise as we were over a bar/ bistro and there was an outdoor cinema set up immediately to the side of the hotel which finished at approx midnight but the noise didn't stop through out the night and then started very early with street cleaning. The hotel has no air conditioning and there is a fan supplied, the fan was so noisy we had to choose between the street noise or the fan and because the room was so hot we had to have the window open.If you need a good night sleep it's perhaps not the hotel for you and maybe outside of August the noise will be much less of a problem. Saying all of this we would definitely return to Saumur, absolutely gorgeous

This Hotel is in a excellent central location. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the river. Room was a good size and very clean.

The downside of overlooking the square / river was the noise, can't have it all ways!

Music playing outside until 0100hrs - sorry to be a party pooper! We thought it would finish at midnight. Revellers shouting at 0300 outside. Not the hotel's fault. So not a great sleep.

Perfect for a one night stop the bed was comfortable the shower goods and hot and Wi-Fi was perfect

Sadly a very poor breakfast that was paid for extra. Only 1 croissant and pain au chocolate and few bits of bread left and not late getting there. Very disappointed they had no more for us. Lots of cobwebs on the chandelier and the shower only ran very hot water! Too hot to shower in.

Location was very good- close to many restsurants and shops and sites. The hotel also have an excellent restaurant.

The only thing was that there is no elevator and we were on the 2nd floor. We were 2 elderly couples and had heavy luggage!

Situated right on the river and within 1 minute walk of the main eating entertainment area. We arrived on bikes and these were safely stored for the night's stay (lady on desk super helpful). Room was very comfy and had enough space for us to dry riding gear.Breakfast was well presented and catered for 2 hungry adults.

Maybe an extra fan in summer?

The property is ideally located on the river. Our room was small but charming with a lovely Juliette balcony, that was much appreciated on a hot day.Saumur itself is a beautiful destination.We were given a safe lock up for our Volos.

Parking the car a little tricky and dropping of luggage at the hotel could be very difficult.Carrying luggage up two flights of narrow stairs.Market day on Saturday we were awoken before 06.00 h ,by the weekly market being set up. Suggest if staying Friday night , ask for a quiet room at the back.

The stairs are very very narrow and our room was up two flights of stairs. Bathroom had a deep step approx 10 inches from bedroom to bathroom so could prove difficult for older people as could stairs

Fantastic location, very comfortable, rooms are quiet even despite the big concert on right out the front. Staff are lovely. Highly recommend

Giant room very close to central city. There is parking basically right outside, which is free after 6:30pm, until 9am. Costs €2/hour otherwise.
