The Originals Access, Hotel Le Canter Saumur

Stopped off for one night on a motorcycle tour of the Loire valley. Hosts were very accommodating and gave access to a garage to secure the Moto overnight. Easy walk into Saumur with plenty to see.

No drink making facilities in the room. Maybe offer it to customers during the booking process

The hotel is easy to find, with ample free parking. The staff was wonderful and very welcoming. The room is rather big and comfy. Wifi worked well (although you need to reconnect after a period of inactivity). The hotel is keen on green and energy saving policies (which means a rather cool room, but you can ask the reception to bring the heat up a notch if necessary :))

You can hear people walking up and downstairs, along the corridor and closing doors. There was also some sewage smell in the bathroom (but this might be due to the old pipes - not a major issue).

Well situated. The staff is welcoming and the breakfast was great.

The rooms lack of style. It would be nicer to have a rural, kind of feeling with a simple colourful wallpaper.

Perfect location, quiet and easy parking but a safe 10 minute cycle into town. Great family room with full sized bunk beds. Super helpful manager & lovely breakfast.

Very friendly welcome and very good facilities for a 2 star hotel. Nice breakfast.

If you want to visit Saumur and go to dinner without taking your car it is not the best location.

The host was very welcoming and helpful. He gave us some super recommendations for dinner in the town. Nothing was too much trouble. We also had breakfast which was super!

Secure parking

Small bed against the wall. Very small bathroom. Evening meal not available. The place was closed when we arrived so had to wait until 4pm for the hotel to open. Very few facilities in the area. Breakfast was very basic.

We booked a superior double and it was extremely comfortable. Charming host. Lovely breakfast with good coffee. We walked to city centre 15 mins.

Nothing. It ticked all the boxes.

Great welcome from Oliver and the kind offer of use of the garage for our motorbikes (also offered to cyclists). The hotel was clean, rooms well-provisioned with a decent shower/bathroom. The location is a little out of town but there is a short walk through a park to get there so it was quite pleasant. Little tabac / market around the corner.

The only challenge was carrying our bags up 2 flights of stairs in motorcycle clothing, but the room was nice with a bit of a view over the rooftops of the surrounding area.

Wonderful host. Location walkable to restaurants. Good breakfast.

Absolutely clean! Friendly staff and good breakfast. Comfortable beds, comfortable temperature. 10 out of ten. And we received a present, thank you :) It was sooo cute

Spacious very clean room.

Far from city center or stores and restaurants. We arrived around 7:00 PM tired from cycling and there were no restaurants around. So I skipped dinner. For breakfast, was similar. The hotel serves breakfast but I don"t really care much for meager French breakfast especially if you will be cycling 4-5 hours that day.

we had nice room, not very big but more than adequate , we were all made welcome including our dog. there was a lovely place to walk the dog just opposite The hotel has good onsite parking but you wont get a wide vehicle through the archway

well we enjoyed our stay so nothing , maybe the bathroom could be bigger but it all worked

Quiet location, with secure parking. Exceptionally clean, good breakfast, helpful friendly staff. Nice little bar with outside tables in the evening sun.

A very nice hotel and the location for visiting the Loire valley is perfect! The room was fine, clean and the bathroom also clean. I recommend the breakfastlbuffet, makes you ready for a nice day. The man in the reception, Oliver I think his name is, was fantastic giving information about what to see and visit. A big help. He also helped us finding a restaurant.
