About

Pikes is an iconic Ibizan institution, steeped in rock ‘n’ roll history and brimming with personality. The 26-room haven in the San Antonio hills features bespoke rooms and suites set around the sprawling fairytale gardens and the famous aquamarine pool which was the location for Wham’s ‘Club Tropicana’ video. Founded in the 1970's by the late Tony Pikes for decades it has been a playground for the music and cultural elite with regular guests including artists such as Grace Jones, Tony Curtis, Spandau Ballet, Bon Jovi, George Michael and Freddie Mercury. Lovingly restored in 2011 by Dawn Hindle & Andy McKay and adored by locals, Pikes is one of the few places that still represents the authentic, carefree, Balearic spirit of the island. Winner of various categories in the prestigious White Ibiza Awards, Pikes is saturated in rustic charm and filled with personal touches. We’re brave, we’re always looking to the future and we create something special everywhere we go. Pikes is an international family of misfits and fun lovers channeling the original spirit of Ibiza, and you’re invited to our party. We’re looking forward to meeting, dancing, drinking, swimming and chatting with you. With a real fusion between the place, the people and the unmistakable feeling of just being there, the only danger of booking Pikes is that once you check in, you’ll never want to check out…

    • The staff were helpful, friendly and made my stay extra special. The food was delicious and the music was amazing. Definitely, this place was better than I imagined!
    • Very good breakfast great selection
    • Amazing hotel, great Vibes, Cocktails and Food. Staff were Awesome ☺️

    Cons -

    • Didn't like the outside guest that just turn up making hard to get area of privacy you loose personal experience it's meant to be iconic which it still is to a degree beautiful tranquil property And setting would recommend friendly staff
    • Bathroom didn't have a proper door on it - not an issue for us but it would be for some... The restaurant has been moved from the terrace where it's been for years to the side garden which was a disappointment, not sure if this is permanent or a temporary change but if you're expecting Pikes as it used to be then this might be unwelcome.
    • The music ( supposed to be the thing you would go to this hotel for ) was like bad wedding music ! Really not very cool .. and playing AHA, ABBA and Taylor swift right near our room until 4 am ( same playlist every night ) was pretty brain damaging ! Music was terrible , room had no music or radio in it so we couldn't play our own .. not that we would be able to hear it .. and the TV didn't work .. so we couldn't watch the euro semi final ( gutting !) room very old and things broken , we splashed out on a junior suite which promised a secluded balcony and stand alone bath .. we had no outside space and right next to restaurant - yep pretty gutted with our experience

Iconic hotel, we've been to eat and dance here several times before but this was our first stay. Our room was right near Freddie's which suited us perfectly as we were there for events, but if you don't quite know what Pikes is about this might be a bit of a shock. Our two nights in Freddie's were superb, the pool area was remarkably quiet for August during the day, the room weas really comfortable and most importantly for the time of the year the AC was fierce, the staff were marvellous as always, and we had a brilliant stay here. And the age limit gives it a much more comfortable, friendly vibe for people over 30 than a lot of the other hotels in Ibiza. We will be back.

Staff lovely ... and hotel has a good sense of nostalgia. Food was really good.

Love the history and the quirkiness. Staff were mostly fantastic. So relaxing during the day in contrast to the amazing crazy party atmosphere at night. Cocktails and food were great too.

Music, pool, breakfast options were exceptional

Expect to pay around €50 for each taxi ride but that’s ok considering it’s in a remote location. However the hotel is very tired and the general atmosphere is a little sad like how someone would feel at the end of a party. Can’t fault the staff as I think they work very hard to justify a place that’s living off its history. Good times ahead I’m sure for many who visit this place but as a business I worry for it’s future.

It’s a bit of a tired mess but the bed sheets where lovely.

The vibe the good dj’s during the day the cocktails.

Its not a hype 5 star hotel so don’t expect that we stayed in the George Michael room and was a nice comfy room.

Our room was exceptional, very high standard products etc and very well thought out. The whole place was friendly and the drinks, meals and service were exceptional. We chose to come out of season but enjoyed the Melon Bomb Closing Party, it was surreal!!

    Nothing at all.

Probably the 4 best days of my life. A wonderful and utterly unique place. The service was impeccable - staff were extremely friendly and fun, like being with your friends, but also professional and helpful. The facilities and gardens were fantastic. The vibe and laid-back atmosphere was just perfect. I could not recommend it highly enough and cannot wait to go back.

Everything. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. The property was relaxed and really well presented. I didn’t want to leave.

Such a special place! The vibe is cool while not being pretentious or uptight, which is so refreshing and heartwarming. The staff is exceptional, from the reception to the bar and the restaurant staff, which I really rate (had dinner there both nights I stayed and I loved it!) Of course as an hotel guest you are automatically on the guest list for Freddie, which is hands down the place to be in Ibiza if you want a more personal experience out of clubbing and you’re happy to have a chat with interesting and friendly people between one sweaty dancing session and the other. Breakfast is good, you can have a tasty lunch by the pool and I really liked that I was still able to chill by the pool after checking out. Also amazing idea to provide every room with a refillable glass bottle and provide unlimited water (you will need it after the night’s debauchery!) By the second morning the staff was calling me by my name and I really felt a bit homesick when it was time to say goodbye! I’ll definitely be back soon!

I loved everything about it as it was exactly what I expected. If you are looking for a pristine and luxurious Instagram perfect location, I bet you will find faults.

Lovely place, steeped in history. Cool having the bars and nightclub onsite....Place where you can really let loose by day & Night

    should of stayed longer..

loved my 3days, 4 nights there, the rooms were first class, cleaned and air con was perfectThe breakfast was one of the best I ever had, the food was great at all timesthe staff were so friendly and helpful

Party palace did not disappoint and we had a ball. Included a flamenco performance with a trip-hop twist. Excellent cocktails but felt the wait staff had a bit too much haughty in attitude at times. Loved the details of design and artworks across the resort. Rooms could do with a few practical improvements & a bit of a touch up and if you’re staying above Freddys you’ll be dancing in your sleep???? Loved it!
