Pros +
- Better find something else
- Location - Gdańsk Oliwa and a very good commute to important locations - i.e.: Gdańsk Oliwa Dworzec PKP.
- The location and breakfast were ok.
Cons -
- Broken shower holder (had a tape as a weak attempt to fix it), sink had a hole and cracks, lots of interior equipment was really worn out, somewhat strange elevator (you need to hold the button to go up, receptionist asked us to avoid it).
- Bathroom equipment and cleaningness are tragic. Also free Wi-Fi available there can't be used even for simple WEB browsing.
- The fan in my room broke and it bothered me because it turned on at night and I couldn't understand what it was, it made such a terrible sound. The shower cabine door couldn't be closed, and there was something black and sticky stuck to the shower faucet, so you couldn't touch it without washing yourself (Dirt had accumulated and become cloudy on the shower faucet handle).

The price and location were excellent. Rooms were smaller than I expected.
Nothing dislilked me.
The only thing I would say is the English level of the staff which is quite poor and made the communication difficult sometimes. Besides, one has to bear in mind the hotel is not located close to city center but a few train/tram stops to the north.
it is near olivia star and other establishments so the location is really good..
longest check-in i have expreienced.. it is quite pricey, everything is old, no electric kettle in the room..breakfast is included but it's also not so good.
Price, location, staff
Hockey noises until midnight and from 6am
Location
The windows overlook the ice arena. It's impossible to sleep. The staff started making a lot of noise in the corridor at 5 am. At 7 in the morning they started cleaning the ice. This is the worst hotel I've ever been to. Make repairs, like everything in the Soviet Union.
Location, staff, bed
WiFi was really poor.Shower is small.
clean, location, price, breakfast
Matress a bit soft
Room was clean, price was realy small + breakfast
The room is located near the ice arena, which is why it will be impossible to sleep before 8 pm, as the noise is unbearable. so you need to be prepared for this.
Good breakfast, wery silent, clean. Quick check-in
All was good
The staff is very flexible, friendly and attentive. Overall great value for money!
Breakfast was not my taste
Stayed there only because of the close proximity to the University. Breakfast was decent, good size of the room. Some staff persons nice and helpful. Chicken soup and dumplings were nice.
I stayed in Hotel Olivia 3 times each time in a different room. One had ants running on the carpet. The other one did not have functioning radiator in the bathroom. Also I had to run hot water in the morning for at least 10 minutes to actually have hot water in the shower. Did not raise it though, I raised cold water in the shower during my first stay and felt like an intruder, first not being believed, second, being told it was impossible. While no one told me I had to run water in the shower for several minutes, That's another thing, eco awareness all over but wasting so much water to have a hot shower. Restaurant was hit and miss. Could not use the restaurant while there was hockey team dining, though no information provided beforehand. Still can feel that attitude from previous system is strong and well.
Like always in Olivia: basic room, this time with a view over the parking lot, which made it far less noisy than when the windows are towards the ice rink and you hear people practicising skating or ice hockey from 7 am to midnight (if you want silence remember not to book a room with windows towards the ice rink). Staff was helpful and the locations is great if someone has a business to to at the university campus. 300 metres of walk and you're there. Bus/train/tram connections available in a close proximity
The breakfast was good, the staff was friendly and the location was great for me. The room was big and comfortable.
I liked everything) proximity to the skating rink and people playing hockey. Was a bit noisy, but I expected it and enjoyed))) love peythere, the personnel was outstanding, very welcoming and helpful! Thank you!!!!
I deffo recommend this hotel for a single night or a longer stay at Gdansk - we got offered a clean and more than spacious room with 2 single beds, free wifi and free parking. 24/7 reception, friendly staff. On top, brekkie was included and delicious! As a special extra, the rooms ground floor offer a view to the sports venue. If a hockey game is on, you may enjoy some live sports from 1 VIP lounge :)
Carpet looked a bit too used over the years. Be aware that the hotel is located inside a sports venue (hockey).
Nice place close to public transport Breakfast good and tasty Very nice staff in reception and cleaning rooms service
Quite a good hotel. Transport interchange is not far away.
Our check-in was late, we arrived at night around 01.40. There was a man at the reception who spoke only Polish and unfortunately did not speak English. He gave us a key and told us to go "there". It turned out that we went to the semi-basement where the dining room is. When we returned to the reception asking where our room was, the man said it was on the other side, here on the first floor. He was at the reception while we were lost, especially since he has a monitor with cameras. Didn't he see that the guests were lost? I got the impression that he saw and was just watching. Why not just say you went the wrong way and show us the right way? It didn't leave a good impression. ‼️Also in our room was one towel for 2 persons ??♀️
