AKZENT Hotel Merfelder Hof

The hotel was in a quiet area and very clean. Check in was easy and seamless.

There was no AC control, only option was to lower the shade and open the windows.

Bed was comfortable; Had rolling shade for blackout

Shower was small; No a/c, no fridge in room

Fresh, clean, good location, nice personel

The staff were friendly, and they tried their best to accommodate. There are plenty of parking spaces and several free public parking lots nearby if you drive there.

The facilities were relatively poor. The room I had was chilly the entire time. The only radiator in the room is in the bathroom, which does not bring much warmth, even if you turn it up all the way. The drapes are very confusing, too, as they are very narrow and cover probably only 1/3 of the window. Luckily, the sheer curtains are in place, and the day gets dark early, so it's still somewhat safe to undress in the room. The breakfast is also lacking variety...

Absolutely amazing place. Friendly staff, stunning room and a very nice breakfast. The bed is just the best, the best mattress I have ever slept on. I even took pictures of the name of the mattress and found it online, unfortunately they don't deliver in NL. Breakfast, very nice, good variety.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Staff were friendly. The breakfast was really good. And the restaurant at the hotel is pretty good as well. The bed was comfy. The pillow is on the soft side. The room was clean. Overall a decent and nice hotel with the basic stuff provided. Room had a safe, a lot of space to hang clothes, extra blankets, fast internet. It's close to town center and Bahnhof as well.The walls are a bit thin though, so you could hear the water flushing when someone in another room showers.

The breakfast was well laid out, a great selection of both cold and hot items and great tasting.

Friendly staff and nice decor made it feel homely. Bar on site was good for a beer before bed.

I arrived at 9 pm, could not check in, there was no information on late check-in. No one answered the phone, lost money and a sleepless night

Excellent hotel a few minutes walk from the town centre, ample safe parking and 2 electric car chargers!

Excellent breakfast, an extensive range and high quality of food on offer.A comfortable, cleverly designed room with a lovely bathroom which included a very easy to use and a highly efficient shower.

I‘m not a great fan of the bucket-type (not really very) easy chair in the room!

The employees are very kindly, great breakfast, beautiful forest close to the hotel to walk in (full of hundreds of dears)! The bed was like sleeping in some clouds!! I would really recommend this place!

The owner is very attentive

They charged me to plug in my car despite the fact that they promised not to. They charged me 10 euros for a charge.

I picked this hotel for its location but I really liked it. Comfortable bed, nice to have a little balcony to sit on, and the service was friendly. I also ate at the restaurant - a huge selection of Schnitzels at good prices, and the service was fast. Breakfast was good too. All in all a pleasant place for a stop-over that I would recommend!

The extraction fan from the bathroom was quite noisy, but it stopped after a while.
