The water was warm

The room was very cold and the heater didn’t work properly

Breakfast was non-existent. Because of the holidays restaurants were closed. Rooms should have a mini fridge to prepare for holiday closures.

Rooms in the front of the hotel are too cold. Beds needs to be improved

Convenient self checkin when arriving late. Clean with everything you need. One wouldn’t expect more for such a price.

No breakfast. There was a post on website stating vouchers for bakery. Booking wasn't even received when we arrived, no pin sent to get keys so was standing outside for 30 minutes. Very disappointing

A very cute hotel. Well maintained, clean and close to the trains. Excellent staff. I highly recommend it.

We hesitated to book in this hotel because of the low average rating (around 6 out of 10 points). We went there twice in recent weeks, so we got two very different rooms, and were very surprised because the hotel is absolutely fine. In our experience, hotels of the same standard in the same region have considerably higher scores on Booking. This is a two-star hotel and it should be assessed against that. It is centrally located but quiet, spotless clean and, while some of the furniture may not be recent, mattresses, TV and sanitary ware look new. Reception staff are very polite.

Unfortunately our stay wasn’t pleasant, no cleaning was done , ment that we had to buy our own toilet paper, no fresh towels .

There wasn’t any staff around , my daughter had an accident in the shower due to not been cleaned and I couldn’t report it as there was no one in the hotel . Which made me angry.

Not much really. Car park was next door. Separate pizza takeaway downstairs did good food, despite the grumpy owner, constantly dominating his staff!

This hotel had no character. There was no manned Reception, the bar was closed, no restaurant, the bedroom was small and very basic, beds were ok but just. I would consider this as a basic, budget, overnight accommodation facility and not a hotel.

I didn't get the room I booked. Rooms at front are extremely noisy. No staff on site after 4pm.

I was given a different room from the one booked. the room was directly above traffic lights and noisy traffic. The toilet wasn't attached to the floor. The bathmat was dirty. I tried to contact the hotel to ask to change rooms to the other side of the building away from the road but only received generic replies. As a result, I didn't get much sleep that night.

Rooms are very outdated, stuck in the 70ies, next to a busy road and church bells

Town was nice with lovely nature reserve nearby.

Hotel was run down and in need of refurbishment. Cold water tap did not work and rubbish from previous guest left in room.

Great location, very friendly staff, close to the wild horses, comfy beds, good coffee. Loved this place, will definitely be back.

Some of the other guests were loud and drunk but that's not the hotel's fault. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great but overall I had a lovely stay.

The interior of the rooms look very dated. The windows of my room couldn’t be opened easily. Was quite suffocating inside the room. Only one small hand towel provided in the bathroom. Hairdryer not working.

Outdated hotel but not visible in the pricing.

High price for a quite outdated hotel.No staff at the reception from 7pm onwards.I don't expect AC in every room but a fan would have been nice during the heatwave.

Breakfast was ok.

The blinds were stuck so I could not close them (I arrived at a time that there was no staff anymore). Consequently I could not shut out the early morning light. Moreover the soap holder at the wash basin was empty, i.e. had not been refilled. Obviously the room had not been adequately checked or worse.

i booked a room with a double bed and there was two single rooms. The room was very dated and the sink was blocked.
