Hotel Galicja SPA Wieliczka

Staff was brilliant. Everything was nice and clean. Beds very comfy.The only thing was very hot weather and there was no air conditioning, but the staff prepared small fan in a room which saved us from melt ?

Very very small room. Not even space to go around the bed. Uncomfortable beds. Breakfast it’s poor. After hotel breakfast we went with kid to look around what to buy to eat. The day before we been in the Poland 3* hotel and it was not comparable with breakfast and room what we got in Galicja. Very disappointed.

The location was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is next door to Wieliczka Salt mine and very close to old town.

Hotel Galicja is a great place to stay for the travelers on the budget. To be fair, the positive remarks will be first:- Excellent location- Super nice staff, they go out of their way to make guests comfortable- Hotel is super clean, housekeeping does a fantastic jobSome thing to be conciser:It is obvious that hotel operates on a very tight budget and in bad needs of renovation/upgrades.Bedding is very clean but do not match the mattresses. Mattresses are very old, flat and very uncomfortable to sleep on.Something has to be done with the lightning - the room is quite dark and the motion detection light in the bathroom can be very challenging (in the middle of the shower the guest might ended up in a total dark, since the motion detector did not track any movement).Shower/amenity kit - very, very limited.Breakfast - quite nice, variety of food choices. The breakfast personnel, a very lovely lady named Maria, is very helpful and super nice; however, since there is an obvious budget issues, she can do only so much.Overall - this is a tree star hotel (most likely - a two), so please do not complained if you booked your stay at Galicja with expectation of five star service. Hotel Salt next door is a better choice, a bit more upscale with more upgrades,and prices are higher.

Bed, light, very limited amenities in the room.

Really friendly and helpful staff, answered all our questions, we could leave luggage after check-out. Great breakfast with all that you need to fully enjoy the morning. Superb location - walking distance from the train station (manageable with bigger luggage even) and Wieliczka Salt Mine.

Bad

The hotel's approach to the guest. I made a reservation by a mistake, I immediately called and wanted to cancel the reservation, but the staff refused, saying they would charge me 100% anyway. I tried to resolve it through booking, but the owners were not willing to cancel the reservation. We ended up going there anyway, parking paid, air conditioning paid and the room was terrible. The gentleman at the front desk was unwilling to address our complaint. They had an empty hotel. I guess I already know why...

The room as clean.

We booked a double room but we were given two single beds instead. Parked was advertised as 30zl but we paid 50.The room was very hot but because of the noise outside we couldn't sleep with the windows open.

Bad

Never stay in this Hotel!1) Parking is extra charge, not free as it mentioned.2) Very dark in the room and toilet, very low light.3) Bedbugs!!! I asked for refund, but the Hotel decided to keep money. Official response from the Hotel about bedbugs - I brought them from the street... oh really? :)

Good location. Breakfast in time for you to reach the first tour to the Salt Mine. Parking is free (although small places and rather difficult to park). You can bring your dog with you.

The first morning light will wake you up because the curtain is not wide enough.

The only point is the payment of parking space, it seems to me that this is expensive for this area

Quirky architecture, reminder of long gone era of 1990ties when free market bloomed in Poland and some of business decisions were… interesting. Super close to salt mines if that’s your thing

Some dodgy deal with payment. It turned out to be more than booking.com price, then there was additional parking charge, then something else….

Great location next to Wieliczka Salt Mining.

The biggest issiue was light and fun in bathroom. It's turning ON automatically by photocell (WHY???) and no switch to turn it off. For some reason in our room it didn''t turn off for whole night! And the fun was loud! As we arrived around midnight with kids it was too late to fix it. Breakfasts are rather average what comes to choice and quality.

I liked my room: clean and warm, the vibe of the hotel, friendly and helpful staff, late dinner opportunity (pierogi were really nice!), breakfast ? I liked the location near the city center. And general all was amazing. It’s a very poetic place. + there was a little pot with tee bag and coffee bag this is soooo cute! Because you can boil the water and make a tea for you at any time.

The nastiest hotel manager I have ever met. When travelling I always appreciate the work and effort of the hotel stuff, as I know it is not easy job. But the interraction with this lady was the worst hotel experience in my life.
