Great breakfast Hikingtrail Starts direct behind hotel

Complains didn‘t get addressed immediatly.

We didn’t get the room we booked for with 2 single beds and the way the receptionist received us was not acceptable. She was refusing that we had a right to demand what we booked for which was a room with 2 single beds. I was ill and didn’t want my husband to sleep in a small double bed specially when I had booked our room long in advance and it was not our first stay in the hotel. ( fourth or fith time) We came to Freudenstadt for work and needed a certain comfort. We ended up in an ice cold tiny room with 2 beds and the second bed was not even made, my husband had to do his bed. on top of it the receptionist had activated the cards of our room only for one night although we were staying 2 nights so when we came back after giving our concert in the evening we were not able to go in the hotel luckily my husband found a door at the bar and we were able to come in.

no good communication at the zero service. the receptionist tried to make us feel even like it was our mistake and we got a 10 euro discount for not getting the superior room we booked for.

Pillows weren’t very comfortable, mattress was pretty hard.

The hotel has a grand appearance on the outside as well as the inside. The suite was lovely and the dining room is wonderful! The Black Forest menu including wine for each course was a great start to our stay. The a la carte menu had a wide variety of choices and then breakfast buffet was extensive. The staff were also very friendly.

We booked a suite with a double bed and at first we were given one with two single beds, but the receptionist did her very best to find us an alternative, despite the hotel being very busy and we were very happy with the suite we were given.

We were a little disappointed by the room, it lacked a few amenities like a kettle, a drying rack for towels, and the bathroom heating didn't work as well as the hot water was very long in coming for the shower. There's 1 TV in each room, which is good, but when you turn on and change the channel, it turns on the other TV, which is not at all practical.it would have been great to write somewhere that the sauna is without textile, not everyone want to be naked

Minor things like: little bit dust in the room, bathroom bit small, window could not be opened a small amount.

The spa was very nice.The room was unexpectedly large.The windows in the room were immense.

The breakfast wasn't as good as I had expected.The maid didn't really do our room well. She omitted some things and she did others poorly.There's no A/C. That might not be a problem other than in the summer.The hallway is rather dark.

Fabulous traditional hotel. Quality furnishings and highest standards of hotel-keeping. Fabulous dinner and breakfast served by attentive and well trained staff. Like stepping back in time to the 1920s . Housekeeping and quality of bedrooms was outstanding. Warm welcome and v helpful receptionists. Our first visit but now one our favourite hotels ever!!Didn’t use pool or spa but other guests loved these.

The fact that we only stayed 2 nights!!

The hotel has everything and it is very well located if you want to enjoy of the black forest. We really enjoy our stay there. Good breakfast, The restaurant has good food and the service is very good. For the spa you need to book in advance but you can enjoy of the sauna, pool and the gym.

Very rich breakfast with variety of food choices. Spacious SPA complex. Comfortable room.NIce city and plenty of choices for hiking and spending time in the nature.

breakfast was good with plenty of options. staff where friendly and helpful. spa was nice with treatment options, had a nice back massage. parking available direct in front of hotel. hotel decoration gives a nice classic vibe. rooms were cozy warm and very clean and bathrobes were provided. Wi-Fi reception in our room and throughout hotel was good

spa - swimming pool water was a bit cold, Dampfbad not workingsoundproofing - not the best and if you are a light sleeper you might have some problems if the hotel is busy. our room was close to the lift on 4th floor ( not even next) and every time the lift would stop the floor would vibrate , unfortunately realised too late to change rooms

the spa is great and very clean! The facilities and ammenities all in all were great. Breakfast had a very good variety and the service was friendly and efficient. Everything went great for the 6 days we stayed!

The room and the bathroom could have more storage space, specially if one stays for a week or so.

Was very hot during my stay and with no air conditioning,? I opened my window for the evening to sleep, but then several loud beetles flew into my room, which prevented me from sleeping. So, I had to get up, turn on the light, and either relocate or exterminate the beetles. Then, close my window and try to sleep.

Location, breakfast was excellent, very good choice, also restaurant Is stunningly beautiful, also very clean. Bedroom and bathroom was very clean, mattress very firm, which was good for my husband (but not for me-uncomfortable for my hip). Second time back to hotel, and we aim to return again this autumn??

We were told we could not have a coffee in the evening as the coffee machine was broke?so we went to our room without a hot drink to warm up. The waiter did not tell us that to the side, attached to the hotel there is a bar, which we would have loved to have used, (we only saw this in the morning when we were leaving).
