Old town area, walkable, wifi, breakfast

Top floor of building, heater didn’t work and no portable heater at winter. Super freezing.

Good value.

Noise isolation was not good. At 7am it was hard to keep sleeping with guests coming out of the rooms.

This property is in a great location , the breakfast layout was very good ,I like that it had a bar for evenings , room we had was large with agreat view

the property needs love , rooms very bland for historic building, the lack of a restaurant when they offered a great breakfast.Staff were often rude and there was no service of the rooms we had to hunt down the service trolly for coffee and tea.Towels very worn , hint get fresh towels from the sauna they are much nicer

Centrally located with easy access by foot to the whole town. Big plus on sauna facilities and good breakfast.

Room was pretty warm and there wasn’t any way to regulate the temperature.

Location was excellent for exploring the city. Parking is available onsite. Breakfast was ok.

AC in the room but not switched on so had to sleep with the window open.

Mattress was not comfortable , very old . The room was very hot and the cheap fan made noise . The vault was old and wouldn’t open after first use . The breakfast was basic .

Very good position, just few minutes walking from the central square. Very good international breakfast.

The rooms really need a full renovation. No air conditioner in the room, and in August 24 there was 30° outside. The rooms was not so clean.

Location was great - convenient to the center of town and also to the train station. The hotel bar had lovely seating areas. It was nice that a fan was provided in our room since it was on the top level -- it had lovely views out the small windows. The hotel had some spa facilities, even though we did not take advantage of them. Staff was friendly and attentive. Decor in the common areas was nice. They had done a decent job of converting the former castle into a hotel. I loved the daily "Schlosspost" on tables in the breakfast room that gave the weather forecast, a little history of the hotel, and ideas for things to do in the area.

The room was very basic considering it was sold as a premium "Castle Room". The breakfast was very basic and kept running out of key things -- bowls, yogurt, fruit, coffee cups. The breakfast area seemed understaffed.

Historic building that had been well-adapted for modern use. Excellent location on edge of World Heritage area. Good breakfast

Longer walk than expected from the station. Not much open on Saturday afternoon - but that is German law and not capable of influence by the hotel!

The staff were very accommodating. It was a hot day, and they went to every effort to make sure I wad in a cool room with a quality fan.

The property is an older building, so it requires an understanding stance.

The location is great at the edge of the pedestrian zone. The bed was comfortable.

I have stayed in 3 star hotels much nicer than this. The carpet was so old and dirty, and smelled like mildew. The towels were a scratchy material and too small. The breakfast food quality was incredibly low. The furniture or fixtures in the bathrooms are outdated and the wear/tear is showing throughout the hotel. This place was priced the same amount /night as a 5star because of the Christmas market and then they even charged an expensive fee for parking onsite. The walls are paper thin and we were woken up early each day. Never again would I stay in this hotel!

Good hotel in a wonderful town.

I would have liked a little more direction at breakfast time; I would have appreciated being directed to a table etc as I ended up sitting on one which was already occupied, but the guests were away getting breakfast at the time.

It is a historic building of the city at a very good location. It is renovated and at the same it has preserved many aspects of its intertemporal beauty. The buffet style breakfast offers options to everyone.

The hotel parking spaces are not for free.

Staff were incredibly nice.The schloss room was beautiful and comfortable.Had a great sleep here.Breakfast plentiful and varied in a nice dining room.The hotel newsletter with weather forecast at breakfast was a nice touch.Very tasteful and relaxing decor in the room and public areas.
