    Cons -

    • That the sauna was extra.
    • Very disappointing stay.Everything started with the parking issue. We contacted the hotel in advance and explained that, due to our circumstances, it was extremely important for us to have a guaranteed parking space available, even for an additional fee. The hotel confirmed this. However, when we arrived, there was no parking at all, and the staff made no effort to assist us. This was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The next disappointment was the room. We informed the hotel that a group of people with disabilities would be arriving. Despite this, we were given a room on the 5th floor — the very top — with no lift and a narrow staircase like an attic entrance. We were then offered to pay extra to move to a room on the second floor, and we had no choice but to agree. It was also clear that the receptionist had little interest in helping guests who speak English rather than German. The room itself was covered in dust, as if it had not been prepared for a very long time. This was not just a little dust — it was a thick layer.Breakfast was another disappointment. The staff made mocking comments about our physical limitations, especially the man who seated us. For a person with disabilities, it was extremely difficult to access the breakfast area: to get a simple drink, one had to go up and down around 30 stairs. Imagine taking a glass of juice or coffee — 30 stairs each time. We also noticed mocking looks. I approached the staff member to say that this behaviour was unacceptable, but I was completely ignored. The final issue was during checkout. We were charged a much higher amount than what was stated in the booking. Only after we presented our documents again did the staff admit that we were right.
    • No kettle or coffee maker. Shower very slow to drain. Staff not friendly, quite cold.

Staff were not very friendly. No kettle or coffee machine in the room. Over priced for what it is.

Central location but quiet. Lovely fresh bed linen and duvet. Beds very comfortable. Excellent breakfast.

    7JosephPosted on: 10-3-2025

Good location, breakfast was pretty good as well.

Bed was rock hard and pillows were cheap.

    Fantastic breakfast

Got given a book of local vouchers then asked to pay 6 Euro cash for it at checkout. Not advised of price when given it. Wouldn't have accepted it if known there was a charge. Reception person was quite abrupt on checkout when I refused to pay.

Fantastic location right in the heart of town, super easy access to everything! Room was superb and very clean and modern. Breakfast had everything you could desire. Loved this hotel to bits!

    Couldn't stay longer.

A charming hotel, in a well renovated building in the centre of Quedlinburg.

The breakfast was ok but not amazing.

    8AileenPosted on: 8-21-2025

Well placed. Very large, clean room.

Some staff could have been more pleasant.

    9ArūnasPosted on: 8-8-2025

    Superb

The private parking is small, so if you arrive later, parking will be your concern. However, there is a large city parking lot a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

    10LarisaPosted on: 7-26-2025

Location of the hotel is exceptional. Free parking was available close to the hotel (hotel sent us a detailed explanation where to park). Room and bathroom were spacious. Breakfast rooms are big and plenty of nice tables to chose from. Staff was very friendly.

Beautiful building, best location (middle of the square), good variety in breakfast, fair price/quality, offered coupons with discounts that could be used for restaurant/museum etc in the city, friendly staff.

My room was in the middle of the building and small, though it had windows, airconditioning would have made the air less dense.

    Location

Steep stairs, no conditioner made ir hard to rest

    8FrancisPosted on: 6-12-2025

    Good location.Nice breakfast.

Restaurant closed in the evening.Bedroom floor laid with new pine planks, probably incorrectly. A squeak with every step in the night!

An old building but thoughtfully decorated with modern amenities.

Room was all fresh pine pannelled with perfect furniture (we had a suite). Parking was free, a bit away from hotel, but staff was very friendly about carrying our luggage to our room.Location is amazing, right on town square, breakfast room facing the square from huge windows, breakfast was superb.

We had steep stairs to room, staff was very helpful. Internet may be sometimes flaky.

Friendly helpful staff. Good location at the Market Square Breakfast was tastyGood value for money

Decor looking a little rough around the edges in places (chipped paintwork) The older style bathroom was quite crampedHowever, bed was comfy and room was spacious.

Everything came together just perfectly. The location, the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, the varied, delicious breakfast in a calm and friendly atmosphere. Even the weather added the final touch of pleasant memories of the ancient city and the beautiful hotel in its very center. After a busy day, the sauna was very appropriate for restoring strength.

    8AndrewPosted on: 5-5-2025

Nice old hotel in the middle of Quedlinburg. Decent sized rooms. Nice and clean. A creaky old wooden framed bed adds to the charm, although there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room. Good buffet breakfast with lots of choices to suit all tastes. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The car park is located a short walk away from the hotel, so make sure to obtain the address if using a navi. We used the hotel address and found our way blocked by bollards. We had also planned to eat in the hotel restaurant on our last night, only to find it closed for a private function, which was a little disappointing.
