Pros +
- It is the only hotel on the lake, and it is an easy walk to the water and walking paths. OK hotel on a pretty nice lake. And the on-site restaurant (pricey and mediocre) means you don't have to leave the area, which was great. Free parking as well. Very peaceful once we got to the lake (hotel restaurant patio area is often busy, smokey).
- Wonderful staff!Wonderful position right by the lake.Very good restaurant and breakfast. The room is large and clean.Pet friendly!! Only a few km from the highway, perfect place for one or more nights stay.I have been there several times and I'll surely be back. It's a must stop along my journeys through Europe.Highly recommended.
- The breakfast has a reasonable variety for this price and the size of the hotel and the quality was good.
Cons -
- As reference, we've stayed in 25 hotels across Germany, from cities to villages to getaways. So this is in comparison to those.Room was small and only ok. Fine for a B&B, but a little expensive for the quality. Bathroom wasn't very clean (mold on the grout, dirty toilet brush, spiderwebs on the ceiling). But again, ok. Mostly "run-down dirty" not "we need bleech dirty."We got lucky and good see the lake from our bed, but that also meant kitchen noise and smells. But we thought it was a good trade-off. Good view.No kettle in the room, but a light breakfast was included. Cold cuts and bouled eggs. Nothing made to order. But coffee was good, and the manager (who also served breakfast) was kind, attentive, and spoke good English.Still, breakfast could have been more substantial and varied.Unfortunately, the person who checked us in (the only male waiter) was unfriendly bordering on rude. I assumed he was busy. But when we sat to eat an early dinner, he was not busy, and was fully rude when taking our order. We saw him several times during the stay and he was always surly. The female staff were all great though. We just didn't get to interact with them as much.Maids knocked on our door well before checkout and did so several times.Oh, and no fan in the room during record high temperatures. Normal for Germany historically, but these were not normal temperatures. All in all, it was budget B&B quality, higher prices, a little unclean, and a little unfriendly. They are very busy during the summer, especially on weekends, so we definitely gave them the benefit of the doubt most of the time. I will again give credit the manager (maybe the owner) who was always attentive and kind (including a takeaway food order). We chose the spot as an east exit from the autobahn between major destinations, and we enjoyed it for that. But we wouldn't make it a.destination. It hit 38C (100F) the day before our arrival.
- Nothing to say.
- The mattresses could be softer, but this might be seen different from other guests.

Location is nice.
Room was quite small with quite old bed and equipment in the bathroom.
It is the third time I have stopped here. I find it very comfortable, cozy, with a beautiful view on the lake, peaceful, surrounded by trees. And the restaurant is great!
Nice to be by a lake, handy with the restaurant for dinner and the included breakfast was also lovely.
It says private beach/lake but the property just walks down the the lake with a path that anyone can use and the the “beach” is just grass on the side of the lake which is all for public use. The staff seemed to care about their restaurant guests more than the hotel guests which was a little bit disappointing. The toilet water dripped all the time.
the surrounding with the beautiful lake and forest literally right next door to the hotel is a huge bonus. Plus it´s super quiet and relaxing.
The staff is great, they welcomed us, showed us everything, despite the fact that we were late. We slept very well.
Front lake, beautiful surroundings, very quiet.Large and comfortable room with a secon exit right on the patio.Great restaurant!Very gentle and helful owner and also the staff members are very nice.Pet's friendly ?Been there twice and definitely will be back!
-The location with the lake- Breakfast was good
- Too old - So noisy and no sound insulation.- No elevator
I´ve stayed there several times now and always come back to stay here when I am in the area.Lovely little but comfortable hotel with all the basics needed. In a lovely location at a lake. (if you´re into running or walking I recommend you take your running gear or some walking shoes. the restaurant is also very good.
The WIFI isn´t the most stable but at times the router has to be restarted.
Exelent , peaceful location on lake and rabits.
Too short visit. I return there for next time and stay for longer time.
Beautiful lake view, spacious, and clean rooms. Extremely helpful and friendly host.
You might find the beds a little bit soft if you are used to firmer mattresses. Some noise can be heard from the hallways as there is no carpeting to silence the sounds.
