Hotel Central

Nice homely room with good beds and good breakfast. To be recommeded as limited supply of hotels in Hof.

Shame that the restaurant wasn't open on the Sunday evening but walked into the centre and had a good pizza/pasta at a restaurant pointed out by the receptionist.

Pleasant building, and helpful staff

Small room

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience.

It was just what we needed as one night stop on our long car travel. Nice and clean hotel with parking just in front hotel. Very nice reception at arrival, clean and big enough room, nice breakfast and after that we had to continue our journey.

Breakfast was very good. The Hotel is quiet and clean. The location and parking is good.

Great place to stay. The room was huge, very clean and we had a beautiful view. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast had really nice variety of good quality food. Highly recommend.

Top experience - booked on the way from Berlin, as stopover night. Location is superb in that sense, easy access to A93 and A9 at the same time. Parking onsite, great and spacious room of lovely design. Nice decor and ambience of the building, mix of modern and traditional. Excellent staff - as I was leaving super early, they offered a take away breakfast with coffee - which was wonderful indeed and much needed at 5am. Last not least - the restaurant was perfect, with gourmet dinner (steak, with Foer gras and prawns on the side - Wow!) served in a lovely and friendly atmosphere.

The rroms were very spacious and there were snacks and drinks in the fridge. We were charged for those , but a rate card was kept next to it, so that was OK. The cleaners came at a time convenient to us as we had a baby in one of the rooms. There was ironing board and an iron provided on request. Food was awesome. Located just opposite a bus stop and the train too was 2 minutes away. Next door to the Freitshalle which was so convenient as we had come for a event.

Spa was closed and so also Indoor golf needed a license to play. Pool was closed too.

We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast was very good. Were went to Hof to see an opera performance and the theater is right across the street from the hotel.

The carpet all over the floor. Some things at breakfast were not very fresh. Also the omelette was available only at an extra cost.

Its a small cosy hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious very bright and warm. We missed our breakfast and the hotel staff prepared for us two trays of variety of sandwiches which were delicious.

The restaurant in the hotel is great and the beds are comfortable.

Where to begin with? The breakfast is only very basic, the gym is tiny and the sauna was even turned off because of the hot weather.

This is a 4-star hotel - so no unpleasant surprices... Everything was fine:- staff very nice and helpful- location and parking - just a few steps from the city centre (like 10 minutes walk)- outstanding breakfast- very large room and bed

Nothing - just one personal subjective view: the corridors and doors to rooms are designed as old-fashioned ones (like 17-18th century). But it's a modern hotel - so I would prefer cleaner design. But it's not a fault or any reason to lower the points.

very friendly staff, nice and spacy room

when booking i thought the hotel would be more central - it is not really, you need to walk quite a bit to get to the old town and also there is a very busy street along the main entrance, so it is not what one would expect from looking of how the hotel presents itself. Nevertheless, it is easy to walk everywhere and the nice room and the friendly staff compensate for a lot.

the Hotel is pretty good option when you go to western part of Germany and wants to stop for a night

poor breakfast, only acceptable, we asked for a room in quiet area and higher floor but we got room at street site & on the ground floor :-(but generally the Hotel was not badthere is a problem with parking space and you have to part at the street site

I like this hotel and use it several times a year for one night when travelling through Germany. Unfortunately over the years I have found the hotel staff to be increasingly unpleasant. In the morning, when I got up very early to leave as soon as possible, I wanted to check out as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there was no one at the reception, although it should have been open at 6 a.m. (I was there at 6.25 a.m.) I thought to myself that everyone can leave the workplace for a while, so I waited more than 10 minutes. But then I realised I hadn't got up so early to waste time waiting. I looked for the lady from the reception desk who was on the first floor where breakfast is served and was just putting it on hers. I asked her if she could come down to the reception desk because I had been waiting for almost 15 minutes. She told me she was on her way. The receptionist came and, without saying a word, looked at the computer and told me how much I owed. I paid, but I still haven't heard a word of apology or respect for my time. It was enough to say "sorry to keep you waiting" or even "thank you for your patience". I pointed out to the lady that she could at least apologise because I am a hotel guest. She was arrogant and not even sorry,at the end I was the one. who said first goodbye and wished her nice day, she answered without even a slight of smile on her face. On the way out when i was trying to drive out from the hotels parking there was a delivery van from bakery parked in the middle of the driveway even though there was a lot of free parkings. Then I thought to myself : does the hotel guests still get some respect ? It is a pity that this happened because this is really a very pleasant hotel.

It is like my "home hotel" as s wheelchair user I always receive the disabled room. The location is excellent, and the restaurant is outstanding. Breakfast is also very good and the stuff is always available for any need.

This time it was not available, and I had to receive a regular room. That was upsetting me. That was the only problem for this visit.
