Hotel Kölner Hof

It was the worst place l have ever stayed in a place in my entire life. A small fiilty dirty room. The hotel was run by an unprofessional Syrians. In my view, this place is not qualified as a hotel and should not be advertised by booking.com

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Kölner Hof, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Upon entering my room, I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness. The space was well-maintained, and it was evident that the housekeeping staff takes pride in their work.?The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect night's sleep after a long day of exploring. The sheets were crisp and fresh, which made curling up at the end of the day a real treat. Additionally, the towels were also clean and fluffy, adding to the overall comfort of my stay.I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay. I look forward to returning in the future!

in the middle of altstadt, very nice location. to find a parking spot was a bit hard. Nearby pubs and restaurant.

Good response times to questions asked about accommodation. Although there was nobody on site on our arrival, we had no difficulty getting access to the key box after phoning the number on the door. Very pleasant interaction with staff. Our room/apartment was basic but clean and comfortable and perfectly acceptable given the price.

My room was visibly recently renovated, the bed was clean and the smell was absolutely neutral, which I love. The location was absolutely perfect, as I needed to grab the bus in the town center, and it was barely a 5 minute walk through the cobbled streets.

The bathroom is very traditionally german, and could use a slight visual makeover, but everything worked out just perfectly. A small bar of soap would be ideal, as it only had shampoo. Towels were provided and clean.

Bad communications with stuff and no stuff in the hotel. Nobody come to take additional payment for change of the date and give us reciept. Stuff canceled our reservation on the booking after we leaved the hotel and not give us any reciept so we have no documents to approve our accomodation. Support booking.com did not help us too and did not provided us reciept too. So if you need reciept for your accomodation it is bad choice - we lost our money...

Vintage look & feel, close to the center and lovely area.

Expensive, no central lights, and small (As usual)

I was hosted by this structure during a difficult time, when I was waiting for a surgery after I fell down and broke two bones. The host was simply amazing, providing me the best help possible, even driving me to the hospital and bringing me food because I was not really able to move by myself. The hotel is really nice, minimalistic but you have everything you need. What is really a big plus is the host, one of the most heartwarming people you can meet. I highly recommend staying there during your time in Mülheim!

Good value for money. We went to a festival at the castle. This was walkable and therefore convenient.

Reception was not in person but on the phone and a keybox. Its alright, but not super hospitality. Hard to sleep with people screaming on the street, think there is a bar close. Hotel can't help that. But good to know for light sleepers. Many stairs in the hotel, no elevator. Our room was very tiny. Specially the bathroom. No breakfast available and all places around only opened at 9.

Pub / part of hotel was closed and no one told us. Cold room / no heating on. Smelly toilet. No tea / coffee facilities. Bathroom light not working. Lights by 1 bed not working.

I booked this room and there was no contact with the hotel I was stood outside the hotel and called the number on the door which did not exist And they refused to give me a refund

Very good downtown location. A cosy hotel with good breakfast and a very welcoming hostess.The room was good, so was the bed. Everything I needed for a short 2 nights stay. Would eagerly come back one day.?

In overall looks clean, all vacuumed and no hairs in the bathroom/shower5. Bed was soft and gave a comfy impression6. Clean bed sheets and towels7. Mini-fridge in case needed8. Lights, doors and electric connections working9. Well rated restaurants outside, very close. Not the cheapest10. Lovely old building- façade.

Bear in mind that this is a simple place to stay, for basically just sleeping and grooming/showering. Everything else is a luxury :)What can be improved:1. Dustbins bags can be replaced as there were still items from the previous visitors2. No noise isolation. You can hear all happening in the hallway and stairwell, and others will probably hear all from your room3. Carpets have stains, but seems just a cosmetic problem - better take slippers just in case 4. Bed frame squeaks. What I did NOT check:1. TV2. WLAN3. Mini-fridge4. Hair dryer 5. Seemed 99% well cleaned. Comfortable beds and bedding. Nice bathroom facilities. Surprisingly quiet despite location (although, did not stay over weekend nor during high season for tourism). Friendly staff member greeted me and was able to explain everything in English.

Very little things - grubby TV remote control, slight muddy (?) smudge on inside of shower curtain and some hairs stuck to the wall. There was a brown mark on one of the white towels (I'm sure it had been washed and was just an old stain). Toilet roll holder fell apart twice, so I had to screw the screw back in to fix it. Not a big deal for the price.

This hotel, I thought was a little Gem!! It was clean very good sized rooms for me my husband and our three children!!!!! Very clean and comfortable, shower was great!And staff very friendly and attentive!We also loved the location and it was nice to easily walk into the city.

The location of the room. The area. The fact that it was quiet and easy to check in.

The fact that I had to pay cash and the receptionist asked me to be there at a fixed hour if I wanted to pay by card. I had an appointment and could not change my schedule, nor I think I should've needed to. I ended up drawing money from an ATM and leaving it in the room.

A central location, but still very quiet. The room was fine for one night, but would have been too small for longer. Separate shower room and toilet, which was nice. No breakfast, but there are lots of places nearby.

The location of the hotel is perfect, in the middle of the old city, near an old and beautiful church.Even if we did not meet with the host due to contactless check-in and check-out the communication was easy and straight forward. The bathroom was pretty clean and we had plenty of towels.
