Staff were friendly and room was clean

The air-conditioning wasn't really warming up the room, therefore it was quite cold. The breakfast was disappointing and definitely overpriced. The pillows were extremely flat and uncomfortable.

They have quite a lot of onsite parking spaces but make an overnight charge. There is an amount of free public street parking around directly outside the hotel grounds which we used as there were spaces. There are apartments nearby &, maybe because we had a foreign car registration, someone approached us & told us to park in the hotel as it was difficult for locals to find spaces (even though this local had just parked close by with no trouble & there were empty spaces every time we went into or out of the hotel). We chose not to take his instruction.Obviously I don't know if this is a real ongoing problem. If it is, perhaps the hotel might build in parking costs directly into the room rate so there is no disadvantage to guests using the onsite parking & annoying residents.

when I arrived and asked for a room on the upper floors (which was available ) rather than on the ground floor, the receptionist told me that the reservations on Booking.com only get to stay on the ground floor!It was the only time I heard something like this.Also, even though the hotel was somehow renovated, carpet was incredibly dirty and furniture were old.

The room was great - spacious, quiet & clean. The bed was comfortable, facilities very nice and the parking very easy (though paid).

The pillows were very thin, however I requested another one from reception and quickly received a more robust one. Check-out in the morning was the other part that was quite confusing - I booked and paid on Booking.com and the receptionist could not find verification of my payment; it seemed that some of the hotel's record-keeping is a bit outdated.

Hotel was very clean, and in a convenient location. Parking on site. Breakfast was good, plenty of tables to eat and typical selections of food.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great, a bit outside the center but at waking distance with the Ruhr close for a nice walk. The rooms are very spacious! Breakfast was fresh, my favorite things were the tiny tea pots with fresh tea.

I missed the possibility of ordering some evening snacks in the bar. Like meat, cheese and bread for example.

Very friendly staff. The hotel is very modern although in not that newish area. It was extreme clean and silent.

I think for €250 a night that it was a shame they had no coffee/ tea facilities in the room. Most hotels at this price really should have a coffee machine in the room

The hotel staff were amazingly friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Fantastic room and a great selection of food at breakfast. Overall stay was superb and I would highly recommend it.

The room was clean The staff was very nice.The breakfast was huge and delicious.

There was no water kettle in the room so no possibility to make coffee or tea. The air ventilation was very noisy and sleeping throughout it was a challenge.
