Pros +
- Interior design, location, amenities, smart tv
- Location is excellent - very close to the vibrant downtown area. Breakfast also in a nice restaurant on the ground floor. Day time staff are really helpful and warm.
- Large room with a comfortable bed. Great breakfast buffet included
Cons -
- The toilet was too small - almost no space between the opened door and the toilet
- I stayed in Room 6 one night and around 4am a very loud woman was talking in the lobby with the night staff and she woke me up. One of the upper or lower floors might be best.
- The location was a little daunting - went for a walk at night and it was. A bit scary

Great stay at Hotel Philosophy! The staff were very welcoming, and my room was spacious and very comfortable. I slept incredibly well. Even though I only stayed for one night and didn’t explore the area, the hotel itself was lovely. The buffet breakfast offered plenty of delicious choices and was a perfect start to the day. Unfortunately I missed out on the rooftop restaurant which looked buzzing and fun when I peaked in after a long day.
The room is clean but there was bidet leaking at first but fixed later. Location is good, 10 mins walk to Rainbow street. The staffs are nice and helpful
The breakfast is not buffet and only continental or local breakfast which is boring. I chose continental breakfast and it was served as an omelette, cold , pale smoke turkey, tough bread and croissant. I chose croissant salmon sandwich on my last day and can eat 10% of it
Clean modern and friendly staff
Nothing really it was all good
- The helpful and welcoming Staff.- The cleanliness. - The comfy beds.- The hotel beautifully decorated.- The location.Special thanks to Mr. Fadi at the front dest who was very welcoming and so kind.
It was my second time staying here. The service was consistently good, and the bed was very comfortable.
In general everything was good, room was cleaned, staff friendly.
I was a little bit confused about breakfast, because it was not full, however when we had ordered it, breakfast included more items.
Good hotel near rainbow street and near downtown. They provide free parking outside the hotel which is very convenient. The staff is friendly.
The room was clean, the location was excellent, and the staff were helpful. The food at their restaurant was also great!
Modern, comfortable, clean, and spacious room. Great value.
Room quite beautiful, large bathroom, great shower. Quiet, especially considering the city location. Nice breakfast room (a small restaurant), comfortable reception area. Fine staff. The twin beds were generous and comfortable. The location was super.
I couldn’t get the TV to work in English but the fellow from reception found a way around that using my mobile. Could have enjoyed a hair dryer. Probably not normal, but floors were a bit sticky.
- great location, right next to Rainbow street and lots of restaurants - clean rooms and bathroom
- no slippers provided in the room
Perfect location and wonderful breakfast. Very close to restaurants and souvenir shops. Walking distance to rainbow street and Hashem restaurant. The staff are really helpful and accommodating. Can be reached by airport shuttle and 3 JD taxi fare. Important tip: use UBER instead of normal taxi
try to book the rooms that are not facing the street to avoid the noise in the busy street.
Location in old Amman very convenient for exploring on foot - but first time visitors be aware, everywhere in Amman is either uphill or downhill from wherever you are. Lots of hills and stairs. We had twin room on same floor as lobby - 2 single beds, 18m2 according to Booking.com. It was adequate size for 2 unrelated friends. Decor is distinctive in this hotel - black and white zebra-like tiles you can see in many pictures. And busts statues and wall art of randomly chosen famous figures from around the world, Or maybe not random?? Our room had Frieda Kahlo surveying our sleep quality all night, but, being a painting, she was quiet. Breakfast in the restaurant at lower street level had a very limited menu - western so-called "continental", or Arabic/local. Both were large platters and quite tasty.
The bathroom was small - okay except for the toilet which was too close to the shower wall. No room for your right leg, so you had to perch sideways over the bowl. Is this a Jordanian custom? (I think not.) Also the reception staff didn't explain how to get from lobby to breakfast restaurant. It's two floors down, 1 floor by elevator or stairs, 2nd floor only by stairs. Or you can exit the lobby, walk downhill to the corner, swing tightly to the right and reach the main door of the restaurant on lower street level.
The only thing was the decor and design
I stayed two nights, I was put on the bottom floor in reception, both nights the bar was playing loud music untill the early hours, the last night when the music switched off the night work team was as loud and joking and laughing and the security scanner kept going off, I'm guessing as they kept the door open? I had 2 hours sleep the last night.
Good location close to downtown.
The DJ party night on a Friday and Saturday night disturbed us with really loud music till 1am.
The hotel is located in a side street, so it’s very quiet and relaxing.
The limited parking spaces.
there have a club at 1F inside the hotel, very noisy if you plan to stay at a quite hotel.
No hot water, TV and wifi didn’t working well.
