Pros +
- Nice location. Friendly. Good value. Clean and comfortable.
- Close walk to city center. Comfortable bed.
- Excellent location for seeing the town on foot. Host was helpful and informative providing a map and directing us to a few places to visit the n foot. Hotel was clean and comfortable.
Cons -
- Dated and falling apart.
- Customer service, smell of urine in stairways, charge of 4£ per day to use mini fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker, curtain separates restroom creating lack of privacy. Buffet breakfast 8£ per person. Auto coffee, stale pastries, paltry assortment of cheese and meat, yogurt, applesauce and few fruits. For 16£ per couple, this is expensive and not worth it. Also, the owner accused me of taking food to my hotel room, giving me a lecture which was upsetting and ridiculous as I went upstairs to change.

Nothing really
Very friendly English-speaking proprietor, big comfortable bed, easy walk to city centre, cathedral, botanical gardens etc. Good breakfast. Spotlessly clean and easy parking.
No tea/coffee making facility in room.
Location was great, just around the corner from everything. Breakfast was adequate. Plenty of towels and the bath/shower is huge.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Definitly in somewhat of a time warp and straight out of the 70's
The woman on reception was extremely helpful - phoning ahead to book a restaurant for usThe rooms were really comfortable Despite having to leave before breakfast they were able to get us coffeeGood secure parking for our bikes
The hotel is located on the edge of the old town, which can be easily reached on foot in around 500 meters. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was relatively plentiful by French standards. The room could be darkened relatively well. Somehow I got caught up in the last evening of the Jazz Sous Les Pommier festival. But because the music performances ended around 11pm, the night was quiet.
The room faced the inner courtyard and not the street. As with most French buildings, the soundproofing between the rooms was not good. While the bathroom window had single glazing, the room at least had double glazing. So the muffled noise from the bakery about 30 meters away was almost inaudible.
Great location, a short walk from historic sights and restaurants. Ideal for an overnight stay. The room was clean and the reception was friendly.
It was quite basic, no kettle or hairdryer, but the price was very reasonable.
Great location, nice size room. Storage for bikes. Nice breakfast
Very comfortable and clean, garage parking for motorcycles, close to bar's and restaurants
Nothing to dislike
Easy parking, great room met all our needs, overall a very comfortable stay.
Just a few steps of stairs u will need to reach your room
Lovely welcome basic hotel but clean and friendly. The hotel had been redecorated since our last visit so looks fresh and tidy. Hotel is close to the town centre no more than 5 mins walk away. Where there are a good range of shops a supermarket and bars and restaurants
Lovely hotel but no bar or food facility
Location and ease of getting about- Friendliness of proprietor
Little noisy in the morning.
A very engaging owner fluent in English and in French with my rusty attempts. Luckily because he is away for 8 days in every month. Handy for good local restaurants and regional bus services.
convenient location, small but adequate room, friendly reception, bathroom spotless, it was as described
The lovely staff. Spacious room, comfortable bed and clean. Simple but great breakfast for 8 euro. Free parking. Perfect stop off location for us.
Nothing really. Road traffic out front as had the window open. Occasional loud truck in the night.
Very convenient for one night with parking immediately outside or in hotel car park. Pleasant, helpful lady on reception. Breakfast good for 8 euros.
Can’t think of anything!
Helpful staff..help give ride to station
StairsDistance of walking hills 20 min.
As soon as he saw me on crutches the proprietor changed the room and gave me a ground floor room instead of the first floor one he'd originally planned. I appreciate this sort of service.
Having travelled for almost seven hours we decided to have a relaxing evening in the bar. Since this was one of the facilities offered by the hotel we were very surprised when the owner announced ay 9p.m. that he was closing the bar.
Great location close to the centre. Good size room with enormous bathroom. Friendly welcome and helpful staff. We loved the artwork in the dining room. Would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was good value for money.
Very little.
