Cit'Hotel Du Port Rhu

We chose this hotel because of the convenient location and fairly low cost. It didn't look very impressive from the outside, but once inside all fears vanished. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Our host grabbed our case from Anne, and took it up the tight stairs ahead of us without needing to be asked. Our smallish room was fine, spotless, and appeared to be newly decorated. A special mention for the shower, one of the best we encountered on our travels. Breakfast next day was exceptional, and the host insisted on boiling perfect fresh eggs himself and brought them to our table with a smile, and there was a lovely view of the port below from the brightly sunlit breakfast room. A bit of a struggle walking down to the port and back later, but we found a good restaurant, and went back to the same place on our second night.

A nice trip to Douarnenez. The room was very clean with fine quality sheets. The price was unbeatable. Breakfast was good and the view from the breakfast window was beautiful. We felt welcomed here. The staff was helpful and gave us indications for the visit. I am so glad I chose this hotel.

Very clean and comfortable. Everything you need in the room - excellent WiFi, good TV and tea/coffee. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Fabulous view of the harbour and town from my room. Perfect location for me as it was opposite the bus stop I needed.

Room was a good size and was clean with lovely views of the river. The bed was comfortable. The man in charge was amazing and so helpful. Breakfast was excellent. A perfect location for exploring the west of Brittany. It was dog friendly.

The room was in great shape and must have recently been renovated.The large wet room was much more luxurious than I had expected and I was really surprised at how easy it was to find lots of parking right by the door of the hotel.Easy access to the town on foot was a bonus that the map didn't really make obvious.

I found it really convenient to walk over the bridge into town,those who don't like heights may find it an unpleasant experience.

I slept well. It was comfortable, clean. The breakfast was good, the view very good.

I don't know. It was fine. What was not to like? I liked the receptionist, a lot.

Very unassuming from the outside, it offered a most lovely stay. Comfortable beds, spotlessly clean, and an amazing view from the breakfast hall (and a very good breakfast too!).

Not much Best part was the bathroom

No lift. No drinking water in bedroom. No proper curtains only a net. Small room

Very nice view of the port from breakfast room (and from my bedroom, chosen with view).Simple but clean and comfortable (I slept very well!)10-min walk to the Rhu port wharf, where there are some restaurants (I had there a nice fish & chips on the wharf with Muscadet wine and tasty local ale beer - at Pesket booth).

Pleasant staff, clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast. Parking no problem. Good value altogether.

Stairs rather tricky for older people like us!

Sympathic hotel with a good breakfast and a nice view from the wintergarden and the hotel rooms to the backside.Nice walking routes along the shore.

no USB portS ! no whiskey in the bar . coffee sachets in the room awful, no normal tea bags either.

Nice and very priceworthy hotel with friendly and welcoming host. Very nice breakfast place with view over the garden where hens were strolling around. Same hens that produce the eggs for breakfast. The breakfast was excellent with several specially prepared alternatives for our vegan daughter.

Good room and bathroom size. Very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast in a great breakfast room. Really helpful staff / service. Room on the port side was great for views. Plenty of parking right outside and across the way.

A good honest French hotel with nothing not to like!

Cute and cheap. Breakfast is great.

Half of the rooms have fantastic view and probably not too noisy. Unfortunately the other rooms have windows to a road with heavy traffic. We stayed one of those - there’s no AC so we kept the windows open, but it was really noisy. I liked the hotel but I wouldn’t stay again in that room.

Breakfast was the best part. The access to the room was unusual and the room was small. The breakfast room was lovely and spacious. The views were truly wonderful

Cleanliness and breakfast were perfect. The welcome by the staff was really good.The view at breakfast was divine.Free parking outside is a boon.A really wide choice of restaurants nearby, just a short walk away and knowledgeable staff on hand to give dining advice.

It's a shame there is no lift and only stairs up to the first floor. Perhaps to be expected in a quaint old fishing port. But ground floor rooms do exist, so perhaps best to specify one if you struggle up steps. The owners are lovely, so I am sure they would accommodate.
