Cons -
- Elsa at the front desk. When I checked in early she gave me this look and with attitude explained that check in is not until 2pm, despite the fact that my room was ready. Having had 3 hours sleep and travelling for 6 hours I explained that this is the policy all over the world, but what I am used to is a friendly face saying "good morning. Unfortunately none of the rooms are available as people are still checking out. You can leave your bags here and if you give me your phone number we would be delighted to call you when your room is ready". I then asked for a bus schedule for the Parc de Sport. She told me she did not have it. I asked her to get it online. She told me she was too busy training a new employee. I told her it was not urgent and she could take her time. She asked me if I could do it as she is so busy training someone. That was the last straw and I asked her for her name because it was clear that she also needed training. The internet DID NOT WORK and when I came downstairs to get internet access she had a change of attitude as she realized I could complain, and gave me a schedule. It was wrong. She gave a complicated instruction which sounded awfully wrong to me, so I went out into the street and asked someone who told me I should take bus 80 and not bus 78. There are many 3 star hotels in Givors that do not abuse clients, especially 20 year clients in this way so I will not be returning
- Didn't like the area in which the hotel was situated - rather run down.
- It was hard to find as it is located behind a locked gate. A little detailed info as to how to access would have been nice. A little far from restaurant choices.

Nice hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. Good restaurant on site.
Didn't like the area in which the hotel was situated - rather run down.
Breakfast was very good. Parking was in an enclosed, locked parking lot. Bathroom was small but nice. Bed was a little soft.
It was hard to find as it is located behind a locked gate. A little detailed info as to how to access would have been nice. A little far from restaurant choices.
Our room was a little small but ok. Also a little dated but ok. Tea making in the room but no fridge. Reception area and restaurant looked nice. Good location beside the river. Secure with gates and fencing. Free parking.
The hotel restaurant wasnt open on a saturday night which was disappointing. A restaurant nearby and some takeaway food a little further away. The town area didn't look very nice even though beside the river - sort of run down looking.
Good, clean and reliable chain hotel. Convenient location for the EV19 cycle route
A nice enough hotel for a quick stopover. Easy secure parking, walkable to town.
We didn't like the town at all. There's a nice park and river area right next to the hotel which was pleasant enough but the part of the town in the vicinity, no thanks. Perhaps it was because it was a Saturday evening when we stayed and we always like to go for a walk but I was quite glad to get back to the hotel. It's the first time I've ever taken my shiny watch off and put it in my pocket for an evening walk back! Where are the women? It seemed to be all men, singles and groups and the local bars we found were male hangout betting shops. Odd.Don't let that put you off for a stopover though, it'll probably suit most just fine.
Location is perfect for us to cut our long trip into 2. Friendly staff and confortable beds.
Parking
The room was terrible, dirty, the pillowcases were not fresh, there were stains on the linen. After a night in this “motel” I only wanted to leave quickly. The only plus is parking. We will never come back and not recommend this place.
Good front of house. Food served on a Sunday. Clean
The staff were fantastic, very helpful and happy. We accidentally left a bag in reception and they phoned us straight away. Room was lovely - big and clean.Would definitely recommend.
Excellent breakfast, unusual variety of foods we had not had before.
No shower cubicle or curtain/screen round bath so water sprayed onto floor which became slippy.
The location was good for our trip. The rooms were not large but adequate for our overnight stop. The breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly. We arrived late and a member was waiting for us to let us in.
Nothing to mention
Second stay. Very convenient and lovely rose wine
Clean and comfortable. Easy access from motorway
Room was spacious and clean, bathroom renovated and all other facilities in a good and modern shape. Food very good - brakfast and also dinner. Perfect for business travel.
When we came, room was very cold and it took a few hours ti heat it up. Breakfast a little pricy, however delicious.
just below Lyon! room, bed and shower is ok. a travelers hotel not intentioned for long stay
elevators are slow.long waiting times. i have walked 2 times to the 7th floor.
Friendly staff
Very tiny room,Absence of fridge.
Clean room, comfortable beds, Airco worked good and silent, very friendly staff.Parking onsite. Restaurants nearby. Close to motorway near Lyon.
Nothing really. We were happy.
Good hotel for a stopover en route. The rooms were comfy and quiet. We had a good meal in the restaurant.
Excellent value for money - great staff and Welcome.
There was a Cycling Tour de France team (Ineos Grenadiers) in residence who behaved as if they owned the entire car park, when we'd booked with over a month's notice requiring parking for a car & trailer. The hotel manager was quick to set them straight and we got our promised park. Great work on the part of the hotel manager. Poor behaviour on the part of the Ineos Grenadier team.
The location was fantastic, with an easy train ride into Lyon, and some great bike rides nearby. Breakfast was solid and we had dinner once at the hotel and it was decent as well.
The hotel needs a little work, some little things were off like our shower's hose had no way to secure it to the wall and you were stuck holding it up.
