Hotel Calypso

Great location, within a half mile of both the central train station and the entrance of the Pompeii ruins. It's easily a 5 to 7 min walk. The hotel had free parking, wifi, and breakfast.. We will definitely stay here again.

Proximity to train station and Pompeii ruins

The mattresses and pillows were so flat/compressed/old. There was dog hair blowing across the floors downstairs. There was a sock in the bedspread. Not enough power to give a full phone charge overnight.

Room was very little, if you are three people and have more than one suitcase, it's a little bit complicated to manage the space?. Beds were not the most comfortable ones.

They waited for us,even though we were 1 hour late.Room was clean,shower slightly small for a bigger person.Extremly friendly,excellent breakfast.

The location was great, 15 mins walk to the Ruins and the centre. Parking on site is a real bonus. The host was really welcoming and friendly, even though her English and our Italian wasn’t great, we managed fine.The room was basic, but had all you needed for a short stay. Breakfast was continental as expected and it was sufficient.Whilst this little unassuming hotel doesn’t look much from the outside, you’ll find the rooms clean and sufficient for a short stay, the staff friendly and helpful, so give it a try if your in Pompei, as it really is in a great location for the price.

Nothing really, it met my expectations

Private parking, friendly staff and walking distance to Pompeii Ruins.

Facilities are rather old and breakfast was Italian style/very limited.

I was there with my brother and elderly father. We all loved it. Felt like a second home. It was close to one of the entrys of Pompei and also to the central train station and scavi train station. The family who owns it is very helpul and caring. We loved our stay there.

Ideal location, good value for money, lovely lady owner, very helpful and appears to always be available 24 hours a day.

Very basic hotel, bed was rock hard, shower cubicle tiny, air conditioner not great, no tea or coffee facilities in room, just needs some updating.

breakfast was uninspiring (prepackaged toasts and croissants, fruit, selection of fresh rolls) and the host seemed annoyed at requesting more than one cup of coffee.

This was a very reasonably priced hotel. For that we got a fantastic location - easy walking to the town centre, ruins and train stations. Also a very friendly, helpful family-run hotel and all very clean.

The rooms were basic, the showers tiny, beds not very comfortable (although that’s a personal preference thing). If you want luxury, this isn’t the hotel for you. If you want convenience at a good price, we highly recommend it.

The staff were lovely, very friendly. Great breakfast. Fantastic location, ten minutes walking from the railway station and fifteen minutes to the ruins. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Pompei.

Absolutely nothing. It was perfect.

The hotel is very well located, close to the bus and train station, as well as to the village centre and the Pompei Archeological park. The owner agreed to keep our suitcases while we were visiting the Park. The room was clean and there is reception 24/7.

The hotel is a bit old fashion, there is no elevator, the room and the toilet are quite small. The breakfast room is vintage and for the breakfast we had to ask additional drinks (there is no self-service and what was served was poor for drinks).
