    Pros +

    • The Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.
    • Great location and spatious room
    • The hotel was an excellent location, a short walk to the ancient city of Pompeii. I attended a concert by Andrea Bocelli in the ancient amphitheater and enjoyed the short walk to and from the concert. I particularly enjoyed the wonderful sunset views of Vesuvius from the rooftop garden, only a short walk from my room. The staff were very nice.

    Cons -

    • Staff was not the best, definitely felt they dont like their job or their guests
    • Breakfast has min hot food which is not replaced and cold if you don’t get down the first 2 hours. Plenty of cold foods but slow to get replaced if at all when they run out. Might have been midweek staff because on Friday seen one waiter giving out to the guy for not replacing the ham plate when it was empty and there were no forks left. No shower curtain and bathroom door didn’t close properly never mind lock
    • Equal treatment of patrons during breakfast. Other were offered other options.

Lovely hotel and ideal location close by to Pompeii archaeological park. Clean and staff were great.

Really close to the main square and the Pompei ruins. The rooftop offered beautiful views of the mountains.

The hotel was very nice. We arrived early in the morning and they allowed us to check in early. Thanks to them, we were able to go sightseeing in Pompeii right away.

Great service and place, a lovely old fashioned (in the best meaning of old fashioned) hotel with pinch of bella Italia for anyone who wants to spend quality time. You can easily find the hotel, great restaurant around, just perfect, not the usual trap for travellers

Our 4 night stay at this classic Italian hotel was simply perfect. On arrival the gentleman at reception greeted us warmly and showed us to our room. All the simple things were provided such as wine glasses, safe, fridge, comfy bed and fluffy towels. I only came to Italy with a European plug to charge my phone and I thank the lovely lady at reception who went out of her way to provide an adaptor. Breakfast choices were excellent and I just loved the crispy bacon. Brilliant housekeeping (thank you ladies!). Location is great with a 10 minute walk to both the Ruins and Station.

Hotel Palma is in a perfect location, just a few minutes' walk from the entrance to the Pompeii ruins and surrounded by plenty of nearby restaurants. The breakfast buffet had a very good selection, making for a great start to the day. The rooms are nice, although a bit old, which is expected given the building’s historic nature, but they are more than adequate for a short stay. The standout feature of this hotel is the amazing staff, who are extremely helpful with anything you need. Parking was also easy, thanks to the staff's assistance in finding a spot right next to the entrance.Overall, I recommend this hotel for its excellent location, good amenities, and outstanding service.

In our road trip through Italy, the best hotel of all... Everything from the staff, breakfast, cleanliness, comfort, everything is top! The lady at the reception was super friendly, the gentleman who escorted us to the room was also very friendly, the staff at breakfast very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend and when I or one of mine come back I will definitely be your guest. Thank you for everything!

The room was very clean and spacious. The shower was excellent. The staff were very polite and helpful.

The breakfast wasn’t very good. The bread and croissants didn’t seem to be very fresh.

    9GaryPosted on: 10-12-2024

Absolutely loved the location. Right next to the Basilica and close to shops and restaurants and still walkable to Pompeii ruins.

I’m being nitpicky, but the food was cold for breakfast

    5RhondaPosted on: 10-6-2024

Proximity to Pompeii , walking distance

Hot tub ! Filthy, full of broken down lining from cover! Traffic!

    9KimPosted on: 10-6-2024

Breakfast was good, location is excellent (note: most trains go from other station, not the one near the hotel but it’s only a short walk). Short walk to shops and pleasant walk to the ruins

Location. Very good staff! The room is large.

The hotel needs renovation. Everything is very old. They give one key for two people, and since the light in the room doesn't work without the key, it's very inconvenient. There are no sockets by the bed... none at all. There is no TV, essentially, it's very old. There is no breakfast either. We found fermented juice, spoiled yogurt in the machine, rotten ham. There is milk, but no muesli. We had to eat the same thing every morning (omelette and dry, overcooked bacon). Breakfast without a coffee machine. The shower in the bathroom doesn't work well, there is not a single hook (nowhere to hang towels and robes), there is not a single shelf in the shower stall (you have to put shower gels and shampoos on the floor). The room on the 1st floor has one small window and when you open it, the smell of cigarettes and everything else that is smoked under the window is drawn in. And for 5 nights 760€. Considering all of the above, it is expensive.

Comfortable and good location. Friendly staff.

Flimsy shower screen, cheap and ineffective shower head. Bathroom floor flooded every time we used the shower and became extremely slippery.

    9JonathanPosted on: 9-5-2024

Location was amazing, staff were so helpful, rooms where large, breakfast was AMAZING

The water in the hot tub was dirty so I couldn’t get in, toilet didn’t flush well and aircon wasn’t strong.
