About
Just 5 minutes from the archaeological site, this hotel takes its name from the ruins of an ancient Pompeian villa located on the same street. The villa is known for a fresco portraying the initiation rites (or "mysteries") of the Dionysian cult. The hotel's relaxed family atmosphere has made it especially popular among archaeologists and architecture schools. It is also perfect for anyone who wants to visit the area away from the city traffic within easy reach of major transportation points. The pool is in the shape of a classic vase and is 82 feet (83 feet) long. A long sun deck stretches above the pool.

I like the location. There are plenty of places to eat and shop. I also like that we are 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
The staff was wonderful. Professional and very accommodating.
The bed was terrible. Too hard.
Proximity to entrance of Pompeii, can walk everywhere & driving around Pompeii is quite a hassle. Very reasonable rates, very good value.
A little worn & dated.
Only 10 minute walk from train station, Pompeii Scavi, and the main entrance to the ruins. Easy 15 minute train ride to Herculaneum and 45 min to Salerno another beautiful Italian city with good access to the Amalfi coast. We were there at beginning of May and sadly the pool was empty and doesn't open until end of May. Similarly, the restaurant was closed but only an easy 20 minute walk to restaurants. Really friendly staff.
Lack of pool because too early in their year.
Location to Pompeii and train station. Clean, friendly, comfortable.

Convenient location Welcoming staffAppreciated preparing a fresh breakfast just for us before an early check outSpacious roomsCleanWonderful fluffy white towels!
It is 2* accommodation so was basic in places and furniture and fittings were old and / or worn.
Convenient location, clean and staff were helpful and polite.
Pool is not heated.
Great location and a lovely breakfast. Staff were great. The bath was wonderful.
Room was a little dated in decor but comfortable enough
This villa is located close to the train station and close to monte marina entrance (the main) in Pompei scavi. 5 min walk. Everything is clean in the room and there is room for the luggage. Nice pool if you want to take a bath after visiting Pompei or Vesuvius.People at the reception are very nice.
A little old fashioned room if you reserve the economy rooms. As it is close to the train station, you may hear the trains pass by.It is not close to the center of the city, which is about 25 minutes walk.
We booked the hotel at very short notice, and it was very handy for the station and the entrance to the Pompeii ruins. The hotel/motel is just as it looks in the pictures, a little dated decor wise, but perfectly comfortable and pleasant to stay in. The pool looked very inviting, and the weather was still warm enough in October, but we didn't have our swimming costumes. It was a bit like going on another time travel, back to the 1960s/70s rather than all the way to 79AD.
The hotel's restaurant was closed so we had to walk down to the local restaurants, they are a few minutes walk away (fine) but along a road which doesn't have a proper sidewalk/pavement, just a painted line (not good).
Close to Pompeii ruins and train station
Noise echos through the building.AC not good, room was hot
Close to the train station and the Pompeii ruins
Hotel is outdated, booked it for the pool but it was green and dirty and not really inviting to swim in. Bathtub was leaking so I also couldn't have a nice bath.
A short stay, but lived in an oasis with a breathtaking view, clean, with smiling, and very kind staff.
pool was lovely, breakfast good, great location for ruins.
no air conditioning
The staff repeatedly advise that I book an economy room and made me feel like I had their worst room ever. Please provide training to never say that to a guest. They also said I had the cheapest roomAnd that they were fullAnd couldn’t change the room even if I wanted too. Unbelievable to my ears. I was there for work so I overlooked it
The staff lack of concern at check in.
Superb location for visiting Pompeii ruins, and very short walk to train station. Quiet at night for undisturbed sleep. Helpful staff. Spacious room with balcony & good air con. Super clean and felt very safe and efficiently run. Fab restaurant Osteria Nona Cherubina 4 mins walk away. Luggage looked after free of charge post check out.
The decor is a bit dated, but we felt that was pretty minor. It was perfect for our one night stop in Pompeii great location and pool area to relax in.
PoolDistance to pomepeii site Spacious rooms
Pool area looking a little tired but still clean
