    Pros +

    • We stayed here for 1 night. It was the perfect hotel for a 1 night stay with kids. They had bunk beds while we had a Queen size bed. Room was spacious and clean. We arrived by train/Bus from Salerno and it was literally around the corner from the stop. Walking to Pompeii sight and restaurants were also all in this area. Would stay again. Also it was a bonus to have breakfast and they had lots of options, parents and kids were happy.
    • We loved this hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The facilities are clean and well taken care of. There were three of us in a three person room, and it was snug, but it was comfortable.
    • The location was perfect, a 5 minute walk from the train and a 12 minute walk to the entrance of the ruins. The breakfast buffet was in a beautiful room on the lower level, with everything you could ask for. There was a small shared patio on the upper floor, perfect for relaxing after hours of walking in the ruins. The location, on a side street was great, it was quiet and little smell of car exhaust. We got to the ruin when it first opened in the morning, so it was not crowded. The second day we took bus 808 to the stop at almost the top of the volcano, and walked along the top. We brought a picnic lunch there and enjoyed the view. The hotel had a small book exchange,

    Cons -

    • Nothing to note.
    • At breakfast there was Christmas music, in english, like every shopping mall in the US. So really everything was perfect.
    • no slippers, limited plugs

Excellent staff helped me tremendously! I didn’t know how to get the right train tickets and they were very sweet. Excellent restaurant recommendations as well. Thx!

Staff ( young ladies) were exceptionally helpful and courteous. Luxury room with large private terrace. Good breakfast, mostly sweet and limited choice of hot food. Great location for central Pompei

great location. Parking was great. Hotel is very new in appearance. Host was great. restaurant recommendations were great.

The bad advice about driving to Amalfi Coast. Don't do it. Take the train to Sorento and then take a boat tour of the coast.

    I liked everything.

    10ContrerasPosted on: 7-24-2025

Convenient central yet quiet location. Our room was spotless and had excellent ac.

    10MelissaPosted on: 7-21-2025

Very clean and updated. Bathroom had a rain shower head and soaps, shampoos. Beds were comfortable. The room had a private terrace available for each room. The rooms were set back in a courtyard so you couldn’t hear any street noise. The staff was very polite and helpful, even kept our luggage while we explored the ruins after checkout. Location was 1 block from the bus station, close to restaurants and within walking distance of a church and the ruins. Breakfast had a good selection of food and was included. I would have loved to stay more than 1 night here. This would be the hotel I would book if I ever came back to Pompei.

Booking.com tried to send spam email saying our reservation was canceled.

Close to the ruins, great air conditioning, clean, nice garden amazing breakfast

    9ToniPosted on: 7-2-2025

Great location to train station, bars and restaurants and only 15 min walk to the ruins. The outdoor garden area was cool and covered with lemons. Staff were all polite and helpful.

Water pressure of shower wasn’t very strong.

    10TirsoPosted on: 6-26-2025

We had a very comfortable room with a queen size and a twin bed. The rain shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. Air conditioning was excellent as well as WiFi and tv. The staff was very helpful and happily answered any questions we had about how to get around in Pompeii and good restaurants. There was a lovely little garden where we winded down our days with a cocktail prepared in the bar. Breakfast was more than adequate and the bonus was that it was 2 blocks from the train station station and a 15 minute walk from the entrance to the archeological site of Pompeii

We liked everything about the Hotel Diana and will definitely recommend it to visitors to Pompeii

    10SuzannePosted on: 6-26-2025

Lovely hotel just blocks away from the Pompeii ruins. Wonderful staff and excellent breakfast. Onsite parking was a plus.

    9MichelePosted on: 6-12-2025

Location was very good - about two minutes from the train station - a ten minute walk to the Pompeii gate and 25 minutes to the Villa of Mysteries gate. Staff were very friendly and helpful and it was a bonus to have a carpark on the premises in a town with very little parking.

    8DianePosted on: 6-1-2025

10 minute walk to the archaeological site. On a side street so a bit less noisy. Rooms fairly basic. Beds firm but comfortable. Very clean. Staff friendly. Good AC.

    8MarionPosted on: 4-30-2025

It was very clean and had a central location.

Some hooks for coats in the room would have been practical. Otherwise fine.
