    Pros +

    • Breakfast was wonderful, staff helpful, beautiful hotel and relaxing stay
    • Very nice room. The bed was comfortable, there was a desk to do some work, and the bathroom was a nice size and well equipped (even a bidet!). The staff were very kind and attentive, and the breakfast buffet was terrific. The location was excellent, right on the harbour.
    • Convenient location, water views, outstanding staff at the front desk and breakfast area.

    Cons -

    • Take dirty dishes away from room each day
    • I was there at the change of seasons and during my stay the ventilation system suddenly stopped working. I spoke with staff but there was nothing to do. I opened my window, but there was too much noise to sleep.
    • Some construction in the building was at times loud and limited use of the patio and roof top deck.

    Location very good

Hotel Baia was undergoing renovation which must have been planed but not informed to guests it was not a small amount of painting as claimed by a small notice but major and disruptive work with the building team resident in the hotel. The lifts were nearly always out of order so being on the 3rd floor was a major issue. The roof top pool a complete mess not usable. Breakfast all hot offerings served cold despite complaints to management they were not interested in guest concerns. Rooms are very small with minimal storage hopeless for a two week stay. The restaurant was surprisingly goodish.

Great sea views of sailboats, people and the lighthouse overlooking the balcony. Great location and pretty Xmas street decorations, and band music near restaurants and high end stores and gift shops. On the cobblestone boardwalk are vendors selling fresh fruits and crafts and historic monuments and parks for family fun.

    Xmas music all night long

Grear location. Very friendly staff and helpful. Close to the marina, shops and great selection of restaurants and cafes around.

From the moment we arrived in the beautiful and serene city of Cascais, Hotel Baía made us feel truly welcomed. At check-in, we were greeted by João (forgive me if the spelling is off!), whose warm hospitality immediately set the tone for our stay. When we entered our room, we were surprised with a lovely view of the marina and an unexpected treat — the famous Portuguese pastel de nata. Such a sweet gesture. The hotel’s location could not be more perfect. It’s just steps away from the marina, breathtaking coastal viewpoints, charming shops, restaurants, and even the iconic Santini ice cream shop — a must-try when visiting Cascais.Hotel Baía also offers its own restaurant and an impressive complimentary gourmet breakfast each morning. The variety and quality truly exceeded our expectations.Even after checking out, we were able to safely leave our luggage with the hotel and enjoy a final few hours exploring Cascais — something we greatly appreciated. Laura checked us out with such friendliness and ease, adding to the wonderful experience.A heartfelt thank you to João for your kindness and for taking care of our luggage while we wandered the city, and to all the staff at Hotel Baía who made our stay welcoming, comfortable, and memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return on our next visit to Cascais.

Nothing bad to say. This hotel is great!

Everything about the hotel was great, from the porch overlooking the ocean and beach, the location, cleanliness, amenities, fantastic breakfast, and staff. We had an awesome time.

    That we couldn’t stay longer!

Great location, friendly staff & a clean room.

Too large of a hotel so a very noisy bar & restaurant.

    9MandyPosted on: 11-6-2025

Location, Location, location, close to everything restaurants, attractions. This made it possible to enjoy every Cascais had to offer in a short stay.

Dropping off luggage was a challenge as it was difficult to figure out where to stop before going into the parking garage, resulted in having to haul all everything up a steep cobblestone ramp.

Hotel is as good as I thought for a nice 4 star. Great location, comfortable. Staff really went over and above. Booked lovely wine tour and made us feel v looked after. Especially Joao on reception thank you. Room always spotless too.

Great location! Clean and good breakfast

Halls were musty smelling. Needed to use deodorizers

    9chiaraPosted on: 10-25-2025

Everything went well except when one of the lifts broke down, but that wasn't the hotel's fault. The staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. The breakfast is varied and delicious and located in a lovely setting.

The bathtub with shower is dangerous, with a slippery floor, no grab bars and no anti-skid mat.

    10PAULPosted on: 10-22-2025

Lovely large comfortable room overlooking the beach in a wonderful hotel close to the buzzy pedestrian area of the city . Pleasant helpful staff made our stay even more enjoyable !

Great location with a wonderful view. Rooftop bar was wonderful. Breakfast Buffet was very good.

Because of the location, too busy and lots of people. That’s fine if that’s what you’re used to. Knew from doing research it would be busy but it was even busier than expected. Did not care for the hotel restaurant at dinner. Staff was not too welcoming and food was not great compared to other places we ate.

Location was perfect for visiting the city.

Pool was really only for exercising and was cold.
