Offering views of the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna, the Vello d'Oro is a functional 3-star hotel in the shopping area of Taormina. All rooms are en suite, and some have a sea-view balcony. The former site of a ceramics workshop, Albergo Vello d'Oro has been a hotel since the 1950s. This 5-story building still has some original architectural features. The rooms offer a TV. Breakfast is served in the dining room. The hotel is 1640 feet from Porta Catania and near the Lumbi car park.

- THE LOCATION WAS GREAT AND THE VIEWS WERE EXCELLENT. LOVELEY BREAKFAST AND VERY FRIENDLY STAFF
- Location, very clean, friendly desk staff and housekeeping, good variety for breakfast buffet.
Cons -
- Shower was impossible to use without flooding the bathroom. Towels were provided to sop up the water. Pressure was good and had hot water.
