Hotel Okura JR Huis Ten Bosch

It is right at the entrance of Huis Ten Bosch. Very convenient with ample parking. The facilities were excellent, and staff were very helpful. There were convenient store and also an onsen on the premises which was free to hotel guests which was a wonderful surprise.

Love the onsen and it’s close proximity to Huis Ten Bosch. They have both adults and children yukatas and amenities.

Rooms look a little dated and could use a refresh.

The location is perfect, right next to the theme park. If you are driving, there is plenty of parking available. The room is cozy. For my family of 4, the setup is ideal, 2 rooms connected to each other by a private walkway. Super convenient.

While the stay had its highlights, the room is quite small. If you have many large luggage, it can easily block the walkway. The checkout queue is quite long. The hotel restaurants food was generally mediocre, except for breakfast.

The exterior of the hotel and its view over the park located at the entrance are all magnificent adding to a great experience even the boat to the park is definitely a big plus. Staff is friendly and pro actively greet guests.

Besides the mold and leaking tap it was quite obvious that the hotel itself is in decline. Old carpets shower toilet and bathtub in one room, old tv, etc.

I like the natural hot springs that they have. Very relaxing after spending time in the theme park beside it.

The location is convenient. Although it is very close to busy area, it is quiet.

The price is not cheap.

Nice location for the fireworks and light show. Would recommend staying here for visiting. Close access to the park and lots of convenient shops/amenities.

The women’s onsen water temperature was barely 34degrees. Maybe even less. Both the indoor and outdoor onsen baths were quite tepid and I didn’t get to enjoy the hot water I am used to. The men’s dude was fine according to my husband so I am not sure why the women’s side was so cold.

The number of kids in the onsen. The hotel should limit the number of children that are allowed to be in the onsen at one time per adult. We saw women with 3-4 kids each in the onsen and it honestly felt like a day care facility in the onsen. The kids would take up a seat using the hair dryers and have no regard for other guests waiting to use the amenities. The hotel should also not allow kids in the onsen after a certain time (like no kids after 20:00) to allow adult guests the opportunity to enjoy the onsen without kids everywhere. As a parent, I understand how other parents want to take their kids with them into the onsen, but there needs to be rules in place for how many kids are allowed in the onsen at one time, and kids should not be allowed into the onsen past a certain time. We saw kids in the onsen at 23:00, who were often obviously tired, fussy and whining. Clearly NOT what hotel guests should have to endure when they go to the onsen to relax.

Great location for people who visit Huis ten Bosch, especially for those who want to visit or stay in the park to see the lighting show. You can access the park either via walking or boat. Check-in process is quite fast and staff are friendly

great breakfast, great service, great location, walking distance to Huis ten bosch was like 2 mins only. they room was great , clean, and big( i booked 4 beds room). you can buy the tickets to Huis Ten Bosch in hotel first, you dont need to line up buy the ticket in the theme park. It's convenient.
