Yumihari No Oka Hotel

Delicious food with lots of selections. The view and location is astounding. Friendly staff. Clean baths and room. Blankets, sheets and pillows smell really clean. Loved the onsen (sauna).

There is no english channel on tv. The 3rd floor hallway I was in was very clean but had a slight smell of molds at first. The bed is not as soft as other 4-star hotels. There was no indoor or heated pool for the winter.

Spectacular location with view over the whole bay of Sasebo and the Kujukujima archipelago. Truly beautifulThe room was very nice, cosy, and clean.There was free mango and orange juice available in the lobby. There’s an outdoor pool on a terrace.The hotel was almost fully booked with many families with little kids. But despite this everyone was very considerate and the kids well behaved and quiet.

The only criticism is the buffet style restaurant dinner. It was ok but not more. Everything else was unique and exceptional but the buffet spread was, although large and varied, a bit greasy and more mass than class.

The view and the facilities were great.

Because it was at the top of the mountain it was a drive up and down winding roads. Great location and view but plan your day to avoid the up and down.

There is a very long way uphill by a car. Bit pricey for this far location.

It’s a beautiful view. And the hotel is very bright.

The lounge was closed. We didn’t know reservations were required for the Japanese restaurant. We were the only ones eating in the buffet for dinner. The food was stale. The bathroom in our room at one point had an awful sulfur smell. The mattresses were too hard.

Fantastic views, beautiful onsen which was well equipped with Sauna. Breakfast was good. If you are a western guest ask for a soft pillow, enhanced our stay massively!

Lovely views, wonderful facilities, good sized room by Japanese standards.

Room was too hot at first as there is central heating with no individual temperature control in the room, I had to open the window.

The restaurant buffet had a great selection, the views from the hotel are gorgeous, and the room was large for this price.

Two minor quibbles. Wish the breakfast buffet restaurant had regular-size spoons, it's hard to eat cereal and yogurt with the tiny dessert spoons that were put out. Also, the only bowls available for the cereal are very shallow, making it difficult to put much cereal and milk in it.

The perfect orange-jam we had 3 years ago was no longer available. The rooms you have a make over.

we did not realise this is up a mountain so cannot walk anywhere from here and the taxis were a little treacherous!

Excellent view and nice little areas to sit outside.

It maybe due to Covid but I would have liked to have sat outside and order a drink. Dining facilities were limited.

The public bath was nice, breakfast was good.

Its very dated inside, the bedding was very cheap.

The view atop Mt. Yumihari is wonderful.

There appeared to be mold by the air conditioning vent. Additionally, panels in the ceiling had separated significantly.Additionally, there was an alarm approximately 2215 Saturday night and there was no information forthcoming about being able to re-enter the rooms.To be clear, the staff was very polite and professional.

Liked the size of the room. Bigger than most in Japan.The view was amazing. Resturant on site has incredible food.

I didn’t like that there wasn’t really any separation barrier on the balcony. I couldn’t really control the temperature. They have low med. high temperature setting and that was it. The low temperature setting had me sweating. Needless to say it was too hot inside and it was too cold to open the door. The mattress on the bed needed changing it was really uncomfortable and lumpy. We ended up checking out early.
