    • Location
    • The 200e damage deposit.

    Cons -

    • Being forced to hand over 200 euro on arrival as a deposit or not be allowed stay (even though I?d already paid in full for my room) was very shocking and disappointing as that 200 euro was part of my spending money for the few days I was in Bray.
    • Our experience was ruined on arrival, we were met by a very rude member of staff on checking in. We were aware of the 200 euro deposit and hadn?t brought our credit card, the staff member was very arrogant and not helpful.

Everything was clean and tidy , the food was delicious and the morning coffee was excellent.

A Small rental car works best in the parking area

Beautiful view , nice room well maintained

Had to pay to park in the hotel yard

    8TijoPosted on: 11-15-2025

The location is perfect and the views from the room we booked were amazing.

The tv doesn’t work with wifi but not a big issue tbh.

    Beautiful location

We actually tried canceling and they would not allow us to do so. We went and saw the room for its historic meaning. Hotel was beautiful, clean and great location. Just bummed they would t allow us to cancel.

Lovely hotel, restaurant/bar facilities very good, food was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the stay and would go again.

Location was ideal , there is a bus that gets you to Bray and then to the hotel. Restaurant right below the hotel for food and drinks. Easy enough check in and check out. Restaurant staff are lovely and the breakfast was amazing too. Views from the window are bliss.

No elevators, hallways on 2nd floor are crammed and the slanting roof or side wall on the floors make it unbearable to walk down the hallways. Rooms arent as big as they seem in the pictures posted so beware. Bathroom is small too.

Email said check-in was 3 pm, but clerk did not show up until 4 pm. Carpet was stained and soiled.

Location (view of ocean, across from Promenade, proximity to coastal path); ambience of beautiful ‘historical’ house; breakfast, staff

small room (stated 25m room but truly don’t believe it was as we bumped into each other trying to get @ foot of bed & photos of room differed from what we got); toilet roll dispenser ~1metre away from toilet on opposite wall, no way to reach, not even sure room enough for free-standing dispenser next to toilet as bathroom small; water didn’t drain from sink very quickly, therefore little smell from drain which could even smell when in bed (as bed so close to bathroom door); also two wall outlets didn’t work so couldn’t charge devices (we advised gentleman at computer when we were on way out for dinner who said he’d look at but was never fixed). Limited parking & cost 10 euros. Lastly, mandatory ‘processing’ of 100 Euros damage deposit seems unnecessary when staff have your credit card to charge if any damage; have never experienced that in all my years of traveling.

    The location.

The staff was very unhelpful and non-attentive. There were no top sheets. The lobby is a cluttered mess. Feels dusty and dirty.

We absolutely LOVED this accommodation and so wished we had been able to stay for more than one night!!! Great location, great view, very charming room!!!

    No breakfast option!

Interesting place -- kind of kooky and weird! I felt like I was on the set of a Wes Anderson film. We stayed in An Ideal Husband Room -- clean and spacious enough for a family of 4 with 2 kids. Hotel added something fun to talk about during our vacation!

Wonderful staff who actually parked our car for us. So anxious to help.

Nobody warned us that there would be a carnival going on right in front of our hotel. It was pure chaos. The property is quirky with many steps and no elevator. Also no coffee or tea in the room even though it contains a hot pot.

    Location

No one at the front desk for check in - Had to go and search out people. And no one at all for check out. Lady at the restaurant told me to just leave the key.

Location and view were fantastic. Unfortunately, we only had one night to spend in the area. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic as well.

Nice spot on the beach with a restaurant and bar

Several sets of stairs, we were on top floor but view was good
