Cons -
- Parking (or lack thereof) not idea. (We parked about a mile away, in a public [albeit 24-hr] lot. Definitely not a dealbreaker -- but it should be noted in the information you provide that the hotel's parking lot is very (!) limited, streets are obviously of Medieval (narrow, pedestrian filled), and on-street parking is almost non-existent. Again, not a dealbreaker -- we were enchanted by our visit and this hotel -- but folks (particularly those with limited mobility) should be warned ahead of time.
- The room was not ready at 15:00 at arrival. The cafe bar would not accept us to eat (although they were not full). It was a walk and search to find a cafe that accepted us for lunch. (A surprise for late October.) So, plan ahead with restaurant reservations.
- parking , streets are very narrow, be careful, parking is situated at 15´´walking, is a public space with no security (free). nothing happen but is not the ideal situation

Location and beautiful old mansion building. Nice pool areaBreakfast included in our booking was excellent. Better than I’d expected
Our triple room was sold to us on Booking as having a terrace yet first room offered was an attic with skylights and no accessible view. The next room we accepted because it had a very very tiny Juliette balcony but it was comfortable We arrived at 3pm and wanted to use the pool which was very pleasant but what hotel closes its bar in the afternoon with guests at the pool looking for refreshments? This was very disappointing
Beautiful setting and views from our suite.
Our room was not ready at check in time. So we went to have a late lunch, came back, and it was still not ready. We waited another 30 minutes in the lobby. There was a very loud gathering (communion) going on in the party room beside the pool. Very noisy, and the staff did nothing that we are aware of, to respect the guests of the hotel. Fortunately we were out of the hotel for a few hours exploring Baeza, but it was still crazy loud when we got back. I guess we chose the wrong weekend! I think they could have told the guests at the communion to show respect and quiet down. Other than that, the stay was lovely and we will return again, but not during popular communion weekends!
Superb location in the historic part of Baeza yet with a free parking area nearby. Beautifully restored old buildings. There is a bar with good food and a gastronomic restaurant. Excellent breakfast.
The only complaint is that the room was too hot but we couldn’t reduce the heating.
What I enjoyed most was undoubtedly the location and the heritage surroundings, a privileged place in Andalusia. I also loved the patio of the place.
I was disappointed by the quality of the cold cuts at the breakfast buffet. The quality of the coffee machine wasn't very good either. Finally, some features in the room didn't work properly, such as the hairdryer and air conditioning.
An amazing location. Our room had views of the cathedral tower which is right next door to the hotel. Baeza is a beautiful town to explore. The hotel is fantastic value for money
Beautiful old hotel in the centre close to the Cathedral.. we had a suite which was wonderful and spacious. Instead of the restaurant (which has excellent reviews) we opted for Pacos (tapas) also belonging to the hotel. We were not disappointed. These were the best tapas we have ever had, we travel through Spain regularly. Service was excellent even though it was very busy. We were advised on portion sizes, just excellent. It is very busy so make sure you book!
The only drawback of being in the centre is parking. The hotel has very limited parking available and it was full on our visit. The reception advised loosely where to park, which was a trek when carrying heavy bags.. Perhaps the hotel could provide a map of the town indicating where parking is on arrival. It was not obvious where our hotel room was number 217, reception advised where the lift was. The room wasn't actually on the second floor but down a flight. It would be good if the hotel could advise of the variation. Or, place room numbers on the fire exit maps in the corridor so rooms could be easily identified. Re both above, my husband had developed a bad back, so I was doing all the carrying of luggage, I was cursing at the time, however our stay there was fabulous, loving our room and Pacos bar.
Lovely historic building. Great location. Attractively furnished rooms.
1. There were very few guests, but they put me in a noisy room above the bar and restaurant. 2. The hotel advertises itself as having a pool, with photos of it, but they do NOT permit guests to swim. The pool was a significant reason I chose the hotel, and I felt duped, cheated and angry. If it’s effectively just an ornamental pond, the hotel should be honest and make that clear on its website and online marketing. 3. There was no desk or table and chair in the room. 4. The bathroom floor was extremely slippery, such that I fell heavily.
The location, decor, inner courtyard, spaciousness of room, staff, ambience and historical connection of hotel to surrounding area.
The elevator near our room had an unpleasant odour. Needs to be rectified.
Budget experience at a hotel in a good location. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Furnishings are tired, and need a spruce up. No Power points by bed so no overnight phone charging. Step in bath/shower with side fittings. Average breakfast. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
No restaurants are open on a Tuesday night in Baeza. Surprisingly! We weren’t pre warned either. The lady at the front desk tried to help but the hotel had no plan B. Both the restaurant and bar were shut, and there was not even a hamper option. In the end we got to a supermarket just before closing and made up a picnic on the balcony. Disappointing.
The room was a decent size and was warm and comfortable during the stay. The hotel was well-located and very quiet. We opted for breakfast two mornings and it was varied.
Unfortunately, the room wasn't impeccably clean. There was a lot of dust under the bed and I found a toe nail clipping on the floor on the first night.
Location was excellent. Breakfast. The egg dishes like scrambled eggs or tortilla as well as the sUsage was cold. Otherwise breakfast was good, not special.
Everything to be honest . A fantastic establishment in a wonderful town and location . Everything about this superb hotel went above and beyond what one might expect . Staff, standard of room , ambience , cleanliness, breakfast was amazing ,Pacos bar also superb with a high standard of very tasty food . To top it all the price was very fair . Let’s just say we will certainly be returning …….a very big thanks to all at the hotel .
We loved it all . No negatives .
Excellent suite lounge terrace overlooking the pool and courtyard with cathedral in the background.very good bedroom and bathroom.
It was magnificent. Huge room beautifully furnished. Located in the historic district. The staff was polite and helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious.
We liked everything.
Perfect location in the historic centre and beautiful property with large rooms and bathrooms. Receptionist very helpful and secured additional night.
The WiFi was out the entire stay and nobody seemed very bothered…like it is a regular issue. Given the quality of the restaurant meals, the breakfast lacked diversity, especially fruits, cereals and yoghurts…no nuts, seeds, dried fruits, only apples and pears
Location, decor, room, restaurant
Very poor (or non-existent) WiFi connection, pool (one of the reasons I booked) closed, despite lovely design and furnishings it was difficult to properly enjoy these as there seemed to be no bar service and the only staff seemed to be on reception (or in the restaurant)
The central location made exploring the town easy. The hotel itself was full of character and the food in both the restaurant and the bar was excellent.
Whilst we were there the WiFi didn’t work and the air conditioning for the hotel was switched off leaving the room very hot. Fortunately we could leave balcony door open over night. Also one of the pillow cases was stained with what looked like mascara and the floor in the bathroom was not as clean as it could have been.
