Hotel Poseidon Playa

Good location.

Terrible food, bad attitude by some of the waiters, AC seemed to have mold on the outside, and the floor of our room was dirty when we checked in. Overall disappointing.

All the rooms have balcony’s facing the Mediterranean Sea. The pool area is wonderful and the beach is 2 minutes from the property.

As is with most older hotels the walls are very thin and you can hear the other guests

Excellent location in a quiet area however not too far a walk from the more noisy parts. Very close to the beach. The pool area was relaxing to be in with plenty of loungers and space to move them around. The room was of good size and the balcony had a great view of the beach. The breakfast buffet had a great variety to choose from. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

although the hotel was close to the beach, it was a little too far out of the old town for us oldies to walk. However, lovely hotel and would definitely stay again.

Great location, very clean, very attentive staff

Good choice of food which was all cooked to a good standard. The location is excellent for the quieter end of the resort with bars and restaurants nearby. There is a large supermarket close by too. The outdoor pool is good although the info said it would be heated and it wasn't. The advice warning about nearby building work behind the hotel was useful although it was never an issue during our stay.

There is no facility to get an early morning or late evening hot drink. The hotel should provide a kettle, even if for an additional charge. It is difficult to get refreshments at the pool. There is no direct access from the bar so you have to encounter a security gate with your key and a flight of steps. The hotel do not enforce the rules in the pool area about playing music/noise.

Good location, although about 15 minutes walk to the Old Town. Spacious end room with great shower. Clean. Nice balcony with sea view. Fridge in room. Helpful and friendly staff. Good meals in restaurant.

Would have liked to have a kettle in the room, but we knew this beforehand and took one with us. Otherwise nothing.

The lack of information about the fact that booking.com didn't tell me they automatically book a transfer from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. I had already booked a Hoppa transfer, as we normally do when we come to Poniente. So the communications from various Hoppa employees from the Netherlands and China took me by surprise. This was linked with the booking.com transfer booking and I blocked them to begin with as I thought it was a scam. There just needs to be more clarity about this on the booking.com app when booking. It would stop the confusion and worry I experienced when I was told on arrival at the Abas desk that I wasn't arriving and hadn't got a coach place ( fortunately I had printed evidence, so they gave me one), and the ongoing anxiety I had throughout my holiday that I had got a coach place in the way back. It ruined my holiday.

Very noisy hotel dont do anything for you if you are English they don't want to no, I wouldn't say its for the Spanish people over 70 never ever spoken to us us in English or try to explain any of the entertainment, I was in bed for a week nobody check if I was ok ,only cleaner ,when I I for there lot people where coughing, after three days of being at hotel my friend took ill then me ,then quiet the rest of my friends on my check out of the hotel this morning staff never ever asked about my stay was just chatting to each other so rude ,I have stayed in this hotel before and iv got to say it was great but obviously something has change what a shame .

Spotlessly clean. Fantastic friendly happy staff. Brilliant food. Stunning sea view in Benidorms best area.
