Medplaya Hotel Rio Park

The hotel made us wait 40 minutes to give us a room and we got our stuff stolen from the lobby while they made us wait.

My wife and I are in our 70s yet we had a room for 2 adults and a child??? The extra bed took up a lot of room. We asked for it to be removed but nothing happened

I thought the Medplaya was a good hotel in a great location to the old town and the strip. I had breakfast most days and there was always a good selection of food. Pool was ok and I was able to get a sunbed every morning.

I didn't like the lifts, way too small for the amount of people staying there. Was waiting ages for them I was on the 7th floor at times and ended up taking the stairs to reception. The room itself was ok but the shower was annoying no full cover door with slippy floor when using the shower it's an accident waiting to happen. Other guests moaned about that too I got speaking too. The last thing is that their rules have to line up to get the sun beds at 9 am and then can't go into the pool till 10 am also I think it's around 5 pm close, that was a little frustrating

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Particularly Miguel who went out of his way to help with parking and also the Tour rep was very helpful.

We always look for Private parking in a hotel when booking. The parking was not Private - it was a public underground car park on a busy main road. The room safe was broken and unrepairable and the room was a bit tired and grubby and not really as we expected. In our opinion the hotel did not meet the standards of 4 star but to be fair it was the peak holiday period and was very busy.We booked for 2 nights 3 days, my birthday being on the 2nd day but had 1 evening meal, 1 night stay and 1 breakfast and checked out after breakfast as for us it was disappointing . Sorry.

Dirty all over the swimming pool ...rooms very small uncomfortable beds ,two singles beds together....the small couch bed for my daughter was dirty her bedding was replaced twice on our stay ....and ours maybe three times ...The buffet was far away from the pictures your website showed....I have pictures of everything I'm complaining about

The corridors and lifts could do with air conditioning it was so warm, very uncomfortable. Long wait on lifts at busy times.

Well, the location was good — hard to mess that up, I guess. The view? Yeah… “more or less” good if you don’t mind squinting past the rooftops. And hey, the food was actually decent — probably the highlight of the whole experience, which says a lot.

Very disappointing experience.Almost everything about the stay was below expectations. The cleanliness was unacceptable — we found hairs on the shampoo bottles, and the tea glasses were dirty with visible stains. There wasn’t even a single bottle of water provided in the room.The beds were extremely uncomfortable and made loud creaking noises with every movement. The elevators were constantly busy, and we had to wait 10–15 minutes just to reach the top floor.The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful throughout our stay. There’s no parking at the hotel itself — we had to park at a nearby trade center. Unfortunately, it was raining heavily when we arrived, and we had to walk for 10 minutes in the rain just to get back to the hotel.Overall, it was a frustrating and uncomfortable experience. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Comfortable, welcoming and clean

The elevators were a nightmare in the morning, and having two disabled people waiting 10-15mins to get down

Clean, good location & decent breakfast

The twin beds could do with a clip to hold together if u need to use them as a double or give an option for a double bed

Spacious rooms, clean, well equipped. Spacious hallways which were lovely and modern and clean. Lots of sunbeds.

Lifts very busy and sometimes temperamental but did not affect our stay.

Great location, food excellent always plenty and great choices,.staff very pleasant. Just great allround.

It was a very friendly hotel to come to for our first visit. We were only at the hotel for 2 days but there was enough entertainment for everyone.

There was one thing that we was not happy about. Our room was near to the lifts and it was not a comfortable night's sleep.

Noises during the night could hear talking in corridor and doors closing

Breakfast was excellent, room was clean and was cleaned every day,location was good with bars and restaurant's within walking distance, we were able to park right outside the hotel free of charge.

Lifts were a bit of a pain.
