    • The room was perfect. The location was great not far from the strip but far enough that you weren't kept up all night with music
    • Breakfast was great, something for everybody, fruit, cereals , bacon etc Staff very friendly, mainly Spanish guests which I liked .Small fridge in the room, hair dryer and safe .
    • Liked the proximity to the pubs and clubs. The price for 2 nights was very goodThe parking was good value 5 euros for 2 nightsReception staff were very welcoming on arrival Didn't like the breakfast, poor choice of hot breakfast items but we had a lovely breakfast the 2nd morning in a lovely cafe a 2 mins walk away .

    Cons -

    • Even though they had said the pool wasn't gona be available still think they should have given a discount The breakfast was horrible from the bacon the scrambled eggs . To the dark breakfast room . The sausage to the flies on the croissant. The whole breakfast experience was just not nice
    • Hotel only had older Spanish guests that were very judgmental of a younger British group staying at the hotel. The hotel advertises a swimming pool, this is an inaccessible area. Of broken tiles and concrete that clearly has not been used as a pool for a long period of time.
    • Heating was on probably to do with the OAP convention Breakfast choice was poor,

Tried breakfast once, was greasy and not enjoyable.

Good location and quality staff and breakfast ? and clean

Hotel bar was a long way from the smoking area but that's only a small thing

    10DavidPosted on: 3-23-2025

The hotel was clean and friendly, very Spanish so didn’t expect much for breakfast but I was pleasantly surprised as breakfast was very good with an awful lot of choices

    Nothing all was good

Just got back from a stay at Hotel Caballo de Oro, and I have to say, it was a great experience. This is a proper Spanish hotel—nothing too flashy, but full of charm and character. The staff were absolutely lovely, always friendly and happy to help, which made a real difference. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and you could tell they really take pride in keeping the place well looked after. Beds were comfy, and everything was just as you’d hope for a relaxing stay.

Only a couple of tiny niggles—the WiFi was super fast once you were on, but getting logged in was a bit of a faff. Also, the window blind didn’t work, which was a bit annoying, but nothing that ruined the stay.

    Clean room, Food

A very rude and obstructive receptionist who gave my wife a very hard time when booking in and initially refused to believe she was a paying guest despite us having informed Booking dot com of her credit card details and identification 3 days before she stayed. This was reported to management at the hotel at the time. My concern is that the hotel receptionist didn't seem to know that the reservation changes had been conveyed to the hotel. Why was this made so difficult for her???Secondly, the shower tray was insufficient for the flow of water and flooded the floor outside the stall.

Good bed and pillow, everything you need in a bathroom, mid sized TV and a mini fridge.

The breakfast buffet was lacking. Eggs where gone all the time and from the middle of the breakfast they didn't serve bacon anymore. The cold meats where not to my taste. I guess if you like cereals you'd be fine.

Very friendly staff, very clean, beds very comfortable

Breakfast not very good, coffee dreadful

    8NigelPosted on: 12-17-2024

Location is very good if arriving via tram or bus..not too far from beach and lots of bars and shops nearby..

The bathrooms need modernizing and the communal carpets need renewing..new room doors too with modern keyless locks

Location was good the staff were friendly

The hotel was a bit tiered looking. The breakfast was poor the coffee in the machine was very poor.To be honest most people seemed to be leaving their hot drinks. There was a fridge in tbecroom but tea machine facilities would hzve been good.

    The breakfast was good

When I booked the hotel with booking.com I had a booking for a triple room with 3 single beds..The hotel gave me a room with a double bed which I had to separate. The hotel is not the best I've stayed in. It has 3 stars rating. It's looks more like 2 star..it old fashioned the carpet are worn out in the hotel. The hotel reservation area is not very impressive it looks more like a working man's club...If I book a nother hotel in benidorm this hotel won't be my first choice x

Breakfast was same mostly every day really a variety is needed, the coffee ☕️ is awful. Do like the chef ?‍? being there in the middle

    5WendyPosted on: 11-9-2024

    The price was good

Hotel was very dated, no skirting boards in corridors

    8RichardPosted on: 11-7-2024

Have stayed here before so knew what to expect. Room is decent, breakfast included and was adequate, if not spectacular.

Wi-fi. It is hopeless. At best it can load a text-based web-page or some basic text messages - very s-l-o-w-l-y. Streaming anything like video, not a hope. It was the same last visit a year ago. Quite shocking really. If you read these messages Hotel Caballo de Oro, please join the 21st century in terms of telecommunications

    Location and pool area

Breakfast was extremely noisy and chaotic

    7AlbertoPosted on: 10-19-2024

Luch was variable. Thats a good choice when travel with family... not 5 stars, but well rated in our opinion. Only 4 or 5 blocks from the beach, so its good location...5 mins walking to get the center of live where most of the hotels offers free live concerts... its an old hotel, but is good when you need to be quiet, far from the parties disorders...lol

    Is an old hotel
