Very small bathroom in single bed room

The Hotel is easily accessible from KM200 on the E5, with parking adjacent to it. We had a friendly welcome and fast check-in. Our room was clean with older style Spanish furniture and a large bathroom, with a flat screen TV and air conditioning.The bed had a nice firm mattress and was very comfortable. A walk into town to explore took about 10 minutes.We had a good dinner at the hotel, with once again friendly and cheerful waiting staff. The bar has a very good selection of gins!.We bought the inclusive breakfast when we booked, good value and sufficient to keep us going for the next 350kms drive south.All in all, a good value place to stop if travelling south from the ferry at Santander.

The staff were very helpful, parking for my scooter was off road in a secure area.Good nights sleep.

I wasn't disappointed with anything

Our room was spacious with a large separate bathroom. We liked the pictures in the hallway. The entrance to the hotel rooms was separate from the reception, bar and dining room. There was a huge free car park immediately next door. It was a 5 minute walk to very reasonable tapas bars/restaurants.

On checking in we were informed of a €100 fine if we should smoke in our room and had to sign the booking sheet regarding this. We had paid for the room in advance and they insisted on taking debit card details so that they could charge us if we smoked in the room. They wanted the CVV code of the card, which I was not prepared to give. The receptionist handled this well and phoned her boss who OKayed it. Immediately on entering the room it was obvious that it smelt of cigarette smoke which we were not happy about. I asked the receptionist to note this at the front desk. On checking out I asked the morning receptionist to check our room and she was happy that we had not smoked. So all OK in the end.Being a motel type place don't be surprised if at 04:30 someone checks into the room next door and makes a lot of noise, talk loudly and plays music so loud that you'll be able to recognise the songs that are playing! Not the hotel's fault.

It was easy to find and had everything we needed.

There were some lively drunk people at breakfast.

The wifi was free

The bar was playing music until the early hours of the morning, the bathroom stank of sewage and the TV didn't work. There was only beer or coffee for breakfast.

Breakfast was simple but good. The courtyard in the hotel was beautiful. Staff was great. Rooms are simple but very clean.

The location, excellent staff & the food

The staff were outstanding, there were problems with communication, but the 'Google Translate App' overcame that easily. The bar and food were excellent. We stayed as an overnight stop going south and it was ideal. Close to the Motorway but quiet. Good parking alongside the property.Situated on a wide street - our Sat Nav did not find it but, again the Google Maps App took us to the door!

The water pressure in the room was very low.
