L'Alya Ninh Van Bay

This is heaven. Our villa was super private and surrounded by nature. The food was amazing, the spa was amazing. The gym was small but surprisingly enough (yes I didnt skip my legs day and chest day). My staffs were helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend!

The property is located in a very secluded in Ninh Van Bay. It’s great to be away from the city’s hustle and bustle. Plenty of greenery. Amazing villas that were very private with a pool. The staff were amazing and kind. Our butler Jackson took very good care of us. The food was amazing too. The beach was very clean with a beach bar. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to be back.

Food could be improved. 100items is too many and sometimes it is a miss. The standard complimentary appetizer of a small baguette+butter is too basic. Overall food experience is quite good, but it could be great with some simple changes.

The location and smaller scale of the resort made this the perfect getaway. Probably the highlight was the view and private pool in our hilltop villa, but all of the services, dining, and activities (snorkeling, spa, sunset cruise) were terrific.

We were fortunate to have excellent weather during our stay, which was a plus given that so many of the resort's strengths center around the beautiful outdoor setting. Also, L'Alya uses a "butler" approach to coordinating services, which was a bit odd for us as more independent-style travelers - but there is an option to dial up or down the level of such services provided.

Lovely staff, very peaceful location and very relaxing atmosphere. Having a pool at the villa was perfect as was the beautiful outside space, many games of Uno were played out there. Special shout out to Vu, who took care of us so well and was so kind to our little girl.

A beautiful location set against a beautiful jungle with a beautiful beach. The facilities were all great. The villa we stayed in was exceptional.

Having a ‘butler’ was strange and unnecessary. The food and drinks are overpriced and obviously you’re stuck captive on an island. To make this better they should look to offer better value for money, given they already charge a premium for the stay anyway. The worst part of our stay was the laundry bill - We took it upon ourselves to use this as a mid-trip point to wash our clothes as we had been travelling a while and this was our luxury few days break. We washed all our clothes ourselves and then hung them. The next day we realised that the clothes were never going to dry, neither inside, nor outside. We asked whether we could use a dryer or could pay a small amount to have them dried. Considering this was basically all just underwear and a pair of shorts, it would have taken about 20 minutes in a machine. We were charged over 1 million dong - so about £40 to dry a small amount of clothes. This was completely extortionate, and we had no choice but to pay.

We enjoyed the resort very much!Beautiful villas are built in a way that doesn't disrupt nature and wildlife in the national park. Staff taking care of gardens, nature, sea, animals.We enjoyed few acitivities: nature exploration (it was amazing experience, gentle walk around the resort, we saw one monkey family and learnt a lot about plants growing in the resort which are also used in the restaurant), spa (we got the best massages ever-vietnamese traditional massage and swedish), hiking (fun experience, easy climb with our guide, wear good shoes and long pants because it can be slippery), kayaking (couldn't go far because of the wind but it was fun and easy to organize).We had our batler Anh who introduced us to the resort and helped us with anything we needed.

The venue and the staff were truly wonderful. We were taken care of very well by our butler Diep: she was amazing! We stayed in one of the villas on the hill and the view was very beautiful. They have plenty of activities to take part in but unfortunately because it was raining during our stay we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the outdoor activities.

In general prices there were a bit expensive, but probably something you would expect from a 5 stars resort. Nevertheless we felt there were no options available on the cheaper side, especially for example on the spa: every treatment was very expensive!

We spent 4 days on this gorgeous peninsula resort just north of Nha Trang. We had a beach house which which we shared with our son and his girlfriend. The beach house was beautiful, with its own pool. The bedrooms and main en-suite were spectacular with an outside shower (which I love). The outside has sun beds and an outside cabana facing straight into the beach. The rooms were fully serviced every day. The restaurant provided a good selection of Vietnamese and western dishes and the beach bar, a good selection of delicious cocktails, wines and beers. We were taken to the ‘fish farm’ in the bay where we selected fresh oysters, crabs and lobsters. They were delicious but without doubt the oysters were the stars of the show and easily the nicest we have ever eaten. Thanks to the restaurant manager and chef for accompanying us there. But of course we cannot fail to mention the beautiful Vietnamese staff, so caring , polite, humble and friendly. Too many to pick out individually, they were all fantastic. Special thanks of course to Jayce Dat, our butler who just made everything so special for us and attended to our every need. Thank you so much, we will definitely return

Amazing, clean and huge private villas designed in a very descrete way. The butler service, which can be customised, is very helpful and takes care of all your needs and questions. The facilities are all in good condition and the gym has all you need. The beach is accompanied by a beautiful pool and the tranquility is really special. The trails around the resort let you explore the beautiful nature.

Some of the restaurant‘s pricing was a bit intransparent and felt a bit random. We are vegetarians and can only review this based on the veggie menu, the food is top notch!

The location and style of the rooms is exceptional. The restaurant is okay, the comments about the pricing are not realistic, the prices are still way below the pricing you would get in Europe at the similar level hotel.

1. the staff. The staff was friendly, but when you come to a hotel of such level it is expected the staff is not only friendly, but also professional and ready to go extra mile. In this hotel it is not the case. They made so many mistakes and fixed them only when you suggest the solution, you have to constantly ask for things, they do not do anything themselves to make you feel better after their mistakes.2. Mistakes and solutions. The rooms are not new, so normal- there are technical problems, first we got a Villa and AC broke down. The staff was so lost they standed in the room with no suggestions on what to do, we had to ask for the room to be changed, we had to ask to show the options and every time they say ,,I have to talk to the manager”, even when manager came even she said she has to talk to another manager, seems like they dont know how to act when something happens and it was not something critical, its just AC its not that hard to solve a problem of such kind.. After they changed our room (upgraded it, because we asked like 3 managers for that) the problems did not stop, we woke up and our pool was without water, we asked to send someone to fix it, once again, the staff was very lost, you have to negotiate for solutions, they will not suggest anything to you.. In conclusion, not professional and seems like not ready to run a hotel of such level.3. They send you questions before you go to the hotel about your needs and wishes. I would say, they would better not send it, because you fill the answers and you expect they will be taken into consideration. Well, its not the case. They asked, what drinks you want to have in the mini bar, they put the same drinks in all the rooms, deos not matter what you put in (and we know, because after our AC broke down we saw like 4-5rooms and they all had the same mini bar, so why you send a question like that if you will not adjust it?

The sea was not so great

The property was beautiful and felt very much a part of the jungle it was situated in. The gardens were gorgeous and really well grown in. We loved how much private space there was and the design of the villas was timeless. The beach was really well maintained and the sea was also very clean.

The only comment I would make is that by our 3rd of our 4 night stay the private pool at our villa became a little dirty and could have done with having been cleaned on day 2.

We really like the surrounding nature as well as the view on the mountains giving us the opportunity to see the most stunning sunsets! The staff is very friendly and committed to do their best.

With high prices comes high expectations. I asked for a transfer from the airport which started as a nightmare. The daily room make up is very light (even when I specifically asked for the bedsheets to be renewed). The so called « butler » who stopped responding to you as soon as you checked out. I would not recommend this hotel with the current pricing.

This resort is a perfect getaway destination if you like nature, tranquility and privacy. Our room is huge with private pool and view to the sea. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
