    Pros +

    • A spectacular resort which is completely isolated from the world, a true gem that enables restoring your energy. The resort general manager named DD and the management team accommodated all requests, to name a few: (i) the installation of a gate in front of the resort to ensure complete privacy, this was essential for us as muslims otherwise we would not be able to use the private pool at the villa (ii) we also commented jokingly that providing our names in the bikes would be nice, and unexpectedly DD and his team made the wooden plates for us and informed us that we can take them as souvenirs. The Spa in Six Senses and their activities were both of high quality that reflected the reason behind the resort being in the upper echelon. To further elaborate, the Spa is by far ranked #1 in my books and the activities were all (free and paid) contributed to the overall experience of the resort, it was truly unique and remarkable. The restaurant also accommodates halal dietary requirements which is a huge positive in Vietnam with their food being delicious. Last but not least, upon arrival and departure, the management waived at us for hello and goodbye, and they chatted with us to make us feel welcomed and part of the Six Senses family.
    • Our stay at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay was simply magical — a true paradise that exceeded all expectations. From the breathtaking natural surroundings to the seamless blend of luxury and sustainability, everything was curated to perfection.Special thanks to Ms. Theo, our wonderful GEM (Guest Experience Maker), who went above and beyond to take care of every detail throughout our stay. Her attentiveness, warmth, and ability to anticipate our needs made us feel truly special and completely at ease. She was always available, kind, and thoughtful — an absolute star. Also, heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Hoa, the lovely host at the restaurant, whose welcoming smile and professional care made every meal a joy. She made us feel right at home, and her grace and hospitality left a lasting impression. The villa was stunning — private, beautifully designed, and immersed in nature. The food was exceptional, with fresh, vibrant flavors and plenty of variety. The spa and wellness offerings were world-class, and the overall atmosphere was serene and rejuvenating.Truly one of the best resort experiences we’ve ever had. We left feeling grateful, rested, and already dreaming of our return.

    Cons -

    • The Guest Experience Maker (GEM) that we got was isolated from us, I wish if the person put extra effort to ensure we are well aware about all the activities, the person did not put the extra effort to initiate conversations and ensure that the experience from the resort was at its peak but would rather focus on making us spend money whenever and wherever we enquire about something. For instance, post the fishing with the captain trip, he informed us that if we want the food to be cooked it would cost an additional 40 USD per person, an offer that we ignored because it costed the same as the fees (if not more) of the normal menu. Further, we inquired about activities and were going to be 15 minutes late for one (as we were not informed about the activities hosted that day since we did not know the resort structure), but the person did not try to ask the Alchemy to push the activity for 15 minutes and wait for us. I think giving importance to the guest by at least showcasing an attempt to accommodate would have made the experience more perfect. Finally, the resort has many lizards, so note that a few might be in your room and it will be difficult to get them all out. However, this is a given due to the location of the resort being in the middle of a forest.
    • Better to include transportation option in total villa reservation amount since there are limited alternative options especially the boat.
    • I wish staff was a bit more knowledgable about resort activities and tried to match those with our interests vs. just signing up for whatever activities had extra charges for.

    Stunning location

Food options were very limited. On Easter Sunday the options were either a gala dinner or room service. We had room service in three occasions and every time there were incorrect orders. Many of the kids club activities were charged at additional costs for which I found this disappointing when being charged 1,500usd a night for a hotel. Staff kept emphasizing what was chargeable and for a property of this nature I found it in bad taste. Staff understanding wasn’t great. This property does not deliver a six senses experience. Others such as Yao Noi or Zighy Bay are far superior. Disappointing and not value for money.

We liked everything! Hotel, staff, food, ambience, spa, activities, surrounding, nature..everything made of natural materials but still luxury and cosy..

    Everything was exceptional!

The staff was incredible - as was the property itself! Absolutely beautiful setting. Especially stunning is the view from the beach bar near the dock, which is the center of the resort (I highly recommend the Pho drink that was suggested by the GM). Also, the spa was wonderful. Some of the best massages I have ever had. So much positive energy and overall vibes from both the surroundings and the staff. We felt grateful throughout our stay. It was truly magical. Particular kudos to Tri (our magnificent personal concierge and overall "soul"), the GM and assistant GM in training, and our spa team.

The food was surprisingly not up to par with the rest of the experience. While the morning breakfast was excellent, the dinner menu and food preparation/taste did not live up to expectations. Otherwise, we would have rated the overall experience a 10. But the overall experience was still unforgettable, and the overall restaurant team itself was wonderful and always tried to please.

Its a special location and the villas are very private. The service is very good. The "ice cream corner", offering free ice creams and sorbets all day was excellent (shame it closes at 4.30pm). The gym is quite beautiful.

The transfers from the airport are very expensive, and the van was very low quality and generally uncomfortable. The journey by road should only be less than 40 minutes, but the drivers seem to be under instructions to take an hour which was painful. None of the restaurants are air conditioned and therefore always extremely warm and slightly uncomfortable. The food was ok but very average for the price. The watersports are expensive and in the case of waterskeeing the boat driver had no english and provided zero instruction/support and we spent the whole time not even getting up on the water. The communication was at times confused, for example we were told the gym would be closed throughout our stay by one person, another said it would open. We booked the e-foil for the following day but when we arrived they had double booked. All relatively minor issues in isolation, but for this level of resort this all needs to be tighter.

A superb retreat in a stunning setting. Great attention to detail and excellent service and food . Lots of activities as well as beach time.

Sadly the rain meant we could experience all the facilities

We were there for 6 days and we started to run out of dinner choices -

beautiful and well maintained. cannot fault the property.

the food was either excellent or poor. limited choice if staying for a week. even with special menus taken advantage of.

    stunning island location

we had poor weather which was disappointing as we didn’t get to use all the facilities as we would in better weather

    10ImpiePosted on: 12-22-2022

Exceeded expectations. All staff including troung and manager were so friendly. Beautiful views and facilities. Highly recommend!

    9Bich-hanhPosted on: 10-29-2022

the staff is very good, providing an excellent service. the location is great, with a very untouched nature and beautiful beach. we also appreciated the environment friendly policy of the hotel.

sometimes, you can hear the boats until quite late (10pm) so if you are a light sleeper, it is not very pleasant.

    10StanislauPosted on: 3-10-2022

Great experience to live on private island in high top villa. Beautiful sunsets, good service, natural wooden villa. I lived liked a king of jungle. Better than vacation on maldives. Will come back in future.

    10ReecePosted on: 2-15-2022

The staff were incredible - all extremely professional - well trained and genuine. I had Tri as my GEM and he was exceptional at his job - you could tell he genuinely had a passion for what he does. Excellent stay and it's now a special place to me - will be back ASAP.

    9ThuyPosted on: 12-15-2021

Luxury for the right meaning, carefully crafted programs with activities. The villas are beautifully located with all the top notched amenities. We got our room done twice a day with people helping to fold up the blinds or lower them down for the good sleep and filling up the water while we were away for fun water sports. Many activities to sign up for, vast area with changing landscape should you you hike up to the peaks.Free ice cream with amazing caramel sauce. Foods are generally good except for a few things we didn’t like the most (the feta cheese salad on à la carte menu and some pastry choices of the buffet night); on the other hand, great cold room for the charcuterie and salad.

The weekly activities were not given early enough but we understand the house rules of contacting the customers 24 hours in advance only. The internet speed is turtle like but again we are far away from the land.Disappointing cocktails with very faint alcohol content, despite the best sunset view at “drinks by the beach”

    10MartinPosted on: 4-12-2021
