Harbour Lights Tourist Park

This place exceeded my expectations. I stayed in a cabin and was delightfully surprised by how clean it was. Everything felt brand new, the beds were super comfortable, and the hot plate meant I could cook a proper meal. The pool was lovely for a dip and the park is right next to the Marina so it's great for watching sunsets. It's also a very short walk into town.

The only complaint is that the bathrooms are a bit of a walk from the cabins, and you walk through the entrance, which anyone can walk or bike through. This was fine during the day, but as a solo female traveller, walking across the parking lot at night to use the toilet felt a bit precarious. It was ultimately fine though and wouldn't keep me from staying again.

Great central location, all of what we needed was in walking distance. We ride a motorbike so it works well for us not to have to get on and off for anything. Nice atmosphere and clean facilities at an affordable price, have already booked again for 2026 ;-)

Reception lady was very friendly and accommodating. I had an issue with the cleanliness of the floor in my cabin and she promptly dealt with it. Even offered to put me in a different cabin, but I decided to stay with the original one. Bed was soft and comfortable.

Upon entering the cabin I noticed that the floor was quite dirty, I managed to sweep a pile of dirt and tiny rocks. As mentioned I informed the front desk lady and she made sure it was cleaned.Unfortunately once I had settled in I also noticed that the outside of the toilet bowl was dirty - stained with brown streaks, which was quite off-putting. This was probably unintentionally missed by the cleaners.I was told that the cabin had been recently painted which was why there was a lingering smell. I tried to mitigate this by opening all the windows to air it out. The only toiletry available was soap. Bathroom was very tight.

It was a great location across from the marina and walking distance to the town.. My stay in a front row cabin was peaceful and a very enjoyable experience.

The only thing was the shower was a bit intermittent.. but not really a concern

The cabin was spacious. The pool was lovely. Location great.

The bed was dreadful. Very old matress with springs and bars making it awful for sleeping. If the bed had been ok we would have rated this camp very highly .

The little cabin contained everything I needed, including a little table and chairs outside and an extremely comfortable bed, along with a good strong shower.It was very quiet at night and is just across the road from the water. A really nice place to spend the night, breaking a long journey.

Overall very surprised. Had no expectations, arrived right before the reception closed. I was greeted so kindly by the lady and made me feel at home right away! We had the cabin, aircon worked, nice kitchen, no stove inside the cabin, it had a microwave. The showers and toilets were clean the whole time

Felt slightly alone, we stayed one night outside of peak period I guess.

The pool and views were great,the location was close to shops and in walking distance to many restaurants. It was convenient and clean accommodation with all amenities and cooking utensils accounted for.

My children didn't have any blankets in the room and only had the sheets provided to cover up with while sleeping,which resulted in them having a cold and uncomfortable sleep as the aircon was blowing straight onto the bunk beds. The mattresses on the bunks were thin and the television was in an awkward position in the room. There were also small cockroaches in the room which was a little off putting.

It was clean, well organised and had good facilities. It was positioned on the beach front.

The sliding door was a bit hard to lock.

I was upgraded at no charge to a cabin with a bathroom and a great view of the marina & jetty.Host was run off her feet, but so lovely and friendly.

Nothing to do with the park but the rain the next morning and having to travel Sth in it.

Good location, good for an overnight stay

No communication from staff to tell me the office would be shut due to public holiday. We arrived at 4:15 pm after driving all day, I called the number on the office door about 15 times before someone emerged and rudely pointed to keys in an envelope around the side of the building.Door needs to be able to lock properly, screen door has no latch and glass door barley locks

It's clean, near to the beach, staff is helpful, toilet clean, aircon is new and functioning well, big refrigerator, spacious and affordable.

No wifi

The situation, just across the road, is the marina great for early morning walks.Great for family with kids pool and access to a splash park not for from the accommodation

The location was amazing right opposite the water. The staff were lovely.Amenities block was clean.Cabin was cleanIt was perfect for what we needed which was just somewhere to crash for the night

The size of the bed was only double. The mattresses on the bunks weren't comfortable

The office was always shut. No communication. Phone calls or buzzer. We stayed at cabins in Port Douglas and Mission Beach for the same price. Their services and facilities were great, NOT at Harbour Lights. We will not be back.
