Ocean View Motel Bowen

Great view and location for somewhere to stay passing through. The team operating the Motel are just amazing! So friendly and helpful, special thanks to Daiana, a great asset, and it was a bonus to be able to order a delicious meal and fresh smoothie!

Alongside to Bowen Information Centre, both are a bit too far out of Bowen

We got ocean views from our room. There were guest chocolates in the room.

I was not aware that the room was also used for guests travelling with pets.

View of bay from room was nice. Nothing else going for it.

Given the high price, the room was very old, badly in need of renovation. Room was a pet friendly one, but bars separating pets from carpeted area was a trip hazard, resulting in a couple of close calls. Past water leaks had caused warping of timbers in shower and kitchenette area.

The location is great for me after a long distance to get at Bowen...

Didn't have breakfast. View and location are great. Beds are very comfortable. Faces the Bruce Hwy but highway noise was not an issue.

The building is fairly old, and there is no getting around that. Could have been a bit cleaner (wad of hair in shower cubicle from previous occupant a bit much). Neighboring properties a bit messy and access to parking a bit difficult for larger vehicles.

Location, lovely view, swimming pool for the kids to take a dip, beautiful gardens.

It was great for a quick overnight stop to rest our heads. If there was anything we couldn’t get the hot water to work in the shower but it was a hot time of year so we really didn’t mind a cold shower to be honest.

Extremely friendly staff very helpful and went over and beyond my expectations thank you and property was better than I expected for the price. The pool was delightful and clean and surrounding area safe. The off leash pet area was enjoyed by my 2 pups. Both my pups were welcomed with no hesitation this is definitely a fantastic pet friendly accommodation where I will definitely stay again. I just wish I hadn't kept driving past over the last 6 years and more. The grounds are lovely and plenty of land to take the dogs for a walk. Being next to the Big Mango was great as I was able to walk and get a sorbet highly recommended.

The unit had a seperate area for our dog and we brought in a dog bed to make him more comfortable. We stopped for one night while travelling through during a very heavy rain and weren’t able to get out and utilise all the amenities.

Always stay here on the way up north - very dog friendly and typical old school motel set up. Beds comfortable and rooms are clean. Fridge and aircon cold and ready for you when you arrive

Was charged more than the booking.com price but didn’t take issue as the owner was very accommodating in having us arrive late the night before. Its a bit dated but well kept

Right off highway so great for overnight stay on a long trip. Pet friendly. Nice view of sea.

Right next to the information centre with panoramic oceans views, great pool and grounds. Col still serves a breakfast and dinner if requested. Although a little dated it had everything we needed, pet friendly and a comfortable bed. Will definately stay again..

Being able to take my furkid was the best, location ideal for what we needed.Across the road from the ocean was lovely
