Nice and close to town, rooms were very clean and tidy, staff were very friendly, we ate breakfast at their restaurant and it was absolutely delicious, we will definitely stay here again!

Great place for stopover particularly with restaurant onsite which serves great meals as it is a fair way out of main town . Plenty of parking room and rooms are spacious.

Friendly and efficient. Good food and great staff. Pretty quite most the time. And the massage chair was an unexpected surprise!

Good amenities and a firm bed.

Room was a little dated. Fixtures and fittings were tired and could do with some repairs.

Easy to get into, great parking bays. Very clean, very comfortable and very quiet. Great having onsite restaurant - could just relax and not worry about getting back in the car. We will absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Good price and location

The fridge wasn't emptied and had previous guests food. There was hair in the bathroom and a cockroach in our room.

The room was extremely clean and tidy. My only complaint would be the shower. The shower head needs to be de-calcified. Half of the holes were blocked. The water pressure seems really high too. A very minor inconvenience overall.

Overall a nice place to stay on the in Bowen. Great for short of long stays. Set a bit out of town but there are courtesy buses from local pubs and clubs that service the accomodation. Included in the price is free use of the clothes washers and dryer with detergent included from reception. Great for people working away or a travellling group looking for a nice quiet place to stop for abit. The restaraunt has great food, for dinner and breakfast if needed.

Personal i found the bed to hard for my likley but i adjusted quickly. Was just right for what i needed. Amd the restaurant never disappoints well dome team!

Well laid out quiet nice cover from the weather, use the pool with no restrictions great food in restaurant and the staff were always happy to help

Bad water pressure. Lost hot water halfway through my crappy shower. I could hear every guest leaving at 5am.

My student daughter was stranded unable to get home to Townsville in the flooding and Castle Lodge and their team looked after her fabulously taking her in and allowing flexibility for departure and went above and beyond to care for her in the 5 nights she was stranded there. Thank you ?

Everything I know is from my daughter but she has only the greatest things to say about the facility, staff, food, cleanliness and care of the management in the wellbeing of their guests.
