Strahan Retreat Holiday Park

It is a well designed building, receptionist friendly and helpful.

'Tired', the kitchen poorly equipped,air conditioner/heating faulty, curtains in front bedroom a disgrace,windows locked,no keys. Sitting area too small for more than 3 people. Could be nice but instead was sub-standard and over-priced. Staff friendly.

We were booked into a backpacker room without being aware of it.

The couch was comfy The kids had fun walking around doing a treasure hunt.Molly's cafe had great coffee.

The cooktop didn't work well

Location was close to the water and attractions. Housekeeping staff were lovely.

Main bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Shower was tiny and also very low, even child had to bend to put his head under. Roller blinds were not fitted properly and light flooded the main bedroom. No flyscreen on the sliding door, were only able to open one window. Games room was diappointing, pool table broken, only one dodgy pool cue and only one table tennis bat.

Very Clean place and clean air. Felt like we were at home. Place was quite cosy. Too bad it was raining that day. But we enjoyed the stay.

The location was great, easy lovely walk into town along the coast; good facilities and interesting things to do in the park as well. Basic supplies and a take away shop within a minute walk. Good information available at reception about the area. Helpful staff.

Limited parking near the cabin and we did not see the resident platypus which was disappointing.

one of the staff lacks some interspersonal skills, but I figure it is quite a stressful job and she may have been having a bad couple of days.

Close to Strahn for the early start of the cruise.Easy late check in.Well fitted out kitchen .Good heating. Plenty of bedding and towels. Good shower.I am basing my review on double bedroom only as the bunk room is only really ment for children, not the 6 ft tall 3rd member of our family.

No layout plan supplied. We didn't know we would have to go through the bunk room to go to the toilet and shower. Waking up the third person in our family if using the toilet at night.

Great little cabin, very quiet (generally, unless there is a Harley motorcycle club staying next door). Cabin has all the necessary facilities, and it’s clean.We would be happy to stay again.

great grounds for birdwatching, especially in the bush area behind the back-packers area.The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans etc and the living area was big enough for the 2 of us.

Good location good access and exit. Nice cabin with clean facilities.

Double bed very comfy, but there were some complaints about mattresses on bunks.

Unlike other Big4 caravan parks, this one seemed a little dated. Cabins were small and old.But they were clean. Location was good, and it is a caravan park after all I can not compare it to the airBNB's that we were staying prior to this caravan park

Ten stars. Great location, super comfy and clean rooms. Kitchen with all amenities. But the best part is the management and staff. Super attentive and caring. I really wish I could stay here longer!

We were upgraded to a bigger cabin because of a faulty hot water problem in our original comfortable cabin, staff were very helpful and friendly. Park was quiet, convenient to all we needed and cabin was very comfortable. Only problem was remembering which way to open toilet door. There was a convenience store with meals on the property.

Parking was a little bit away from our cabin, lucky it wasn't raining when we left.
