    Great location to wilderness railway

Nothing - old building but we were very comfortable

    10JanetPosted on: 4-20-2025

Everything really. Accommodation was very clean, thoughtfully set up and with good bedding, Loved the master bedroom. Plus lots of tea and coffee and thank you for the tray of bikkies. The location was fantastic, right across from the railway station and we were impressed you were able to arrange a wonderful sunset on the first night. We also liked that fact that it was run by a family and not a big organisation, personal service.

Internal front door mat is a definite trip hazard.

The cottage has everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The owner was very helpful and it was great to be able to use the laundry after a week's travelling.

Location was great, nice and comfortable with pub next door that served great food. Staff were friendly, Wilderness Heritage Train Station across the road. Accomodation was priced to suit comfort.

Vicki made us very welcome; the tavern was handy for good food and was great value; spacious and comfortable apartment with a nice view over the harbour

    8SandraPosted on: 3-27-2025

Great location. Very nice views from Villas 3 and 4. In my opinion, very good value for money. We used the barbecue table out the front and enjoyed the view before dinner. Good meals at the tavern but do take their advice and book because it gets very busy. The villas were close to town - 2 minute drive to the wharf for our river cruise. Perfect for our two night stay.

Very modest ageing exterior but had everything you could want inside.

I was pleasantly greeted by the owner Vicky when we walked into the main bar to get keys and wet the whistle while we were there. Not only is Vicky one of the nicest people I've every met, she's a knowledgeable historian of Strahan and surrounding areas. The meals in the lounge are excellent and well priced, cheaper than in main street and much nicer too. Beers cold and there's ten pokies in a separate room for those who like that sort of thing. There's also TAB and keno. in main bar. Lets not forget Regatta Point Tavern has the only bottle shop in Strahan apart from IGA which is pretty pricey. We stayed in room 1 which is fully self contained, beds were comfy, shower was excellent, when you open the bathroom window you hear the frogs croaking, which is a good sign the environment is healthy. The Regatta Point Station is across the road, go on the Teepookana & The King trip, well worth it. If your worried about driving because you've had to many, its about a 15min walk into town along the walking track. I've stayed in a few different places over many years in Strahan, Regatta Point Tavern is by far my favorite, I'm hoping to get back here in Winter to enjoy whatever Tassie can throw at me, living in Mildura it doesn't get cold or rains as much and certainly doesn't snow!Make sure you book, while we were re-hydrating, we overheard Vicky telling many walk in's their fully booked for weeks. It's no wonder, this place has it all and don't judge a book by it's cover The motel and Tavern might look old, but are completely functional and comfortable. When there's a yacht regatta has finished, they tie off near the Tavern for all their supplies and to have a meal, they could've gone to the other side of the inlet, but they choose Regatta Point Tavern, for good reason!Thank you for hosting us Vicky, see you soon,Anthony, David and Shirley.

I wanted to stay longer, but my brother had work commitments.

Great location overlooking the water and the unit was spotlessly clean and very well equipped.

    8BrendaPosted on: 3-4-2025

The owner/managers were very friendly and welcoming. Everything we needed was provided for. Very spacious.Nice view of the River and we had a super meal at the Tavern. Lovely curtains and upgraded kitchen.

The bathroom and toilet was rather old and needed to be upgraded and required some maintenance on the outside. Having nou wifi in the units was a bit annoying.

A great cabin for a stopover, we used the kitchen facilities one night and there was everything we needed to heat a simple meal. We ate next door at the tavern also, lamb chops were tender & cooked to perfection, the curried scallops not so great.

It was exceedingly windy overnight and the cabin actually shook, a bit scary, but couldn't be helped.

    10BradPosted on: 2-23-2025

Check-in went very smoothly, with clear information for what was needed for our stay. Vickie and her staff were very helpful and welcoming. The cabin was super clean and comfortable and had a lovely view back across the harbour.

Rooms were very spacious and although the villas are dated, they were exceptionally clean and you had everything you need, Vicky was very helpful when checking in at the Tavern and lovely We stayed for 2 nights and couldn't fault the facilities

People staying in Villa next door (Villa 3), sat outside our villa 4 smoking and talking loudly which was annoying. We had to have doors and windows closed to ensure privacy and block noise

    9BlackPosted on: 2-22-2025

Our rooms were clean, the kitchen was old but functional. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was in walking distance to wharf.

There was no wifi in our villa.
