Comfortable room and decent location. It's a short drive from the central area of Oamaru and the Victorian area. It's also not too far from the Blue Penguin Colony.

Disappointed

We did not get the spa rooms we had booked. We were told they had been given to someone else. Guests were smoking outside our rooms.Facilities were sparse.We will not go back.

Nice location and easy to find. Clean and comfy.

Very clean room. Checkin easy.When I left a personal item behind the owner was helpful and I go my pillow back.

Personalise it a bit with pictures on the wall.

The hotel price is higher than normal motel, I think it’s because of the jacuzzi spa. But the spa room is a misleading concept, no power connection, it’s just a bath tub. Kitchen no salt provided.

This place was disappointing.

It was run down. Upon arrival, they canceled my reservation and had me pay them directly. They suggested there would be a discount. There wasn't. I just missed out on Booking credits... I think. I'm hoping I won't find a double-charge on the room. Compared with other places we stayed on the South Island, this one ranked near/at the bottom.

Large comfortable room with Super king bed and cable TV. Not far from cbd and harbour. Bigger than a lot of motels we have stayed in. Clean and tidy. Value for money.

Cleaners did not vacuum or replace soaps etc. No airconditioning

Friendly staff. I was impressed he checked we were ok with an upstairs room.The shower was great, nice and hot and strong.Very clean and tidy. Nice to have seating on the balcony.

We didn't like the pillows they were too stuffed and hard for our liking. Bed was really soft, we didn't sleep well.

Location was great, and handy to the main road.

Bed was not level or faulty - leaned to the outside felt like i was being pushed out of bed all night and meant the sleep was broken.Curtains were off the rail and had to get someone to come and fitVery hot - there is no airconditioning so find somewhere else if you want to be comfortable or like hot rooms.New Years traiffs were very high - stayed in 5 place this weekend, and this was the only one over $200 and the charge was closer to $300

The official check out time is 10:00 am. At 10:04 am, staff KNOCKED on our door to inform us that check out time was 10:00. The reminder was delivered in a firm and unfriendly manner.While punctuality is understandable, the approach taken lacked basic hospitality and negatively affected the overall stay. Guests who value a more relaxed and considerate service style may wish to take this into account when choosing this hotel.

This was the first time in over ten years of using Booking that I experienced such strict enforcement of check out time, with no flexibility or courtesy shown to guests.

This is what we needed for a one night stay in the city to watch the Penguins on our way to Mount CookStandard motel but clean relatively new furniture in a nice shower

DAVIS system is outdated, the opening to the parking lot prevents privacy and you need to close the curtain and BNA closed dark room. But for just one night stay on the way this was very good.

Nothing much. Would’ve preferred being further away from people who smoke. But the rooms were smoke free so it was a really minor thing.

Good parking and easy access to town centre. All the facilities that we needed were provided.
